Fancasting Captain America : CW using only actors from the CW

The mother of all Cap fancasts!! If you ever wondered how Captain America: Civil War would look using only CW actors and actresses, then this is the article for you!!

Have you ever thought on how different Cap3 would be if it only used actors of the CW? Did you come out of theaters thinking that it was a nice flick but that it could have used a loce triangle or two? Did the actors were just not right for you? Well, then this is the place for you!!!

I introduce to you, as my first article, a fancast of Cap3 with a solid cast taken directly from the CW. Hope you enjoy.

Captain America / Jensen Ackles (Supernatural)

Well, this was the obvious one, wasn't it? Jensen has been a fan favorite to be cap since before Evans was cast and he continues to be so for some. He is action and has the acting chops, and also he would smile more than Evans too.

Iron Man / Matt Nable (Arrow)

Matt has the charisma and could play sophisticated and arrogant too. He wears the mostauche as a pro, would make a perfect contrast to Jensen's Cap.

Black Widow / Marie Avgeropoulos (The 100)

This was a tough one, but man isn't Marie gorgeous or what? She could play sexy Russian spy anytime she likes. Still, if you like more the "Hart of Pixie" type, then you can have her, I don't have that girl in any other cast here.

Winter Soldier / Jared Padalecki (Supernatural)

Take this one Marvel people! This guy is an expert in long hair. He is a bad ass and can surely pull Bucky without a doubt. Also, can you imagine the Winchester PowerBros in the screen together like that. It was a missed opportunity.

Falcon / Malcolm Goodwin (iZombie)

In all honesty, I haven't seen enough of this guy to judge him. However, he does look the part  and come on! Is the falcon guy, it's not like he's the big deal. The dude is like sidekick #3 at the moment, and that's talking of Cap movies, in Avengers he's like a filler hero.

War Machine / Isaiah Washington (The 100)

Look, I was never really a fan of Don Cheeto; I mean he's not a bad actor but he never appeared to be like an army man. I was always #TeamTerrence. So, this guy does look like an army man, so I picked him up.

PS. Not Denzel Washington's brother

Hawkeye / Stephen Amell (Arrow)

A better archer. More imposing. A greater badass. Maybe he could use some work in the acting departmantment but that doesn't matter; don't forget we are talking about Hawkeye here, not Gandhi or Hamlet. No matter what Avengers2 wants to tell you, Hawkeye is the guy who gets to be played by the least cool kid at parties. You don't fool me, I have been there, I have heard the "Awwww! Why do I have to be Hawkeye!?"

Black Panther / Michael Jai White (Arrow)

First, sorry to disappoint those who were expecting Diggle. Now MJW is way more of a badass than Chadwick and he is bigger too. You could argue that he is not very african-ish, but Chad isn't either. This guy would look more imposing for sure.

Vision / Tom Cavanagh (The Flash)

Ok, so basically the requirements for this part are to be neerdy, pull out the Steve Jobs clothing and be CGI'd for all the demanding action pieces. Tom fits those requirements as a rock star! He's the man!

Scarlet Witch / Lindsy Fonseca (Nikita)

This one is better than the one they got. I mean, Olsen is fine but we are talking about Lindsy here! She can be badass and she's hotter too! Even if she's not wearing the comicbook suit she's an eye catcher.

Ant Man / Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville)

Here's another one that clearly beats the original pick in their own game. Even when MR gave us a flawless Lex back in the days, he has a lot of humor and light heart that matches Marvel's brightful tone. He can pull the convict out of prison to become another not-so-popular hero. I will be honest though, I never was pretty much on board with Rudd in the first place. Rudd will always be to me the guy who ended up with Phoebe just because his character was named Michael (The fundations of the Martha Dylemma right there). Also: "You wanna know how I know you're gay?"

Sharon Carter / Caity Lotz (Legends of Tomorrow)

White canary all the way people! She has been smart, dangerous, badass and sexy... all at once! She would rock this out of the park, and would be more of a challenge to Black Widow than original Sharon is.

Spider Man / Dylan Everett (Supernatural)

Young Dean Winchester is better than no Winchester at all. Can you picture him with glasses? I sure can. As a Canadian, he might not be badass enough, but Peter was never the most badass guy ever. He was born closer to NY than Tom H for sure.

Zemo / Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries)

Good looking, check. Bad guy, check. Dangerous, check.

Crossbones / Manu Bennett (Arrow)

10x times better in every possible way than that guy they picked. His voice alone is more badass than every bit of that other guy. If could get only one change from the original movie it would be this one.

Thadeuss Ross / John Schneider (Smallville)

Pa Kent is more muscular. Pa Kent looks like he was in the army. Pa Kent could rock the suit (He was a senator, remember?) Just give him more gray to his hair and we're done.

Everett Ross / James Marsters (Smallville)

Sophisticated, man of action, smart, cunning, dangerous... Milton Fine was all that. He even had a Terminator-esque vibe that does not hurt at all. He could totally pull the goverment agent.

May Parker / Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls)

So they clearly wanted to pull the not-so-old, sexy MILF kind of Aunt May. I say, take this MCU!

King T'Chaka / Jesse L Martin (The Flash)

I was truly about to put Diggle here, sorry man will have to be next time. No matter how little screen time this king has, I trust Joe West can put a lot of personality to his interpretation.

Howard Stark / Jaime Camil (Jane the Virgin)

I know he's a little too young, but nothing make up and hair dyer can't solve. He has the right Stark personality and look (Stark as in arrogant-millionare, not as in brooding-winter-beheaded)

Maria Stark / Kelly Rutherford (Gossip Girl)

Some of you (Gusto) wouldn't forgive me if I didn't put a gossip girl representative here. It is a shame that Blake Lively is way too young for this.

So that's it. Has it changed your perception of the MCU now? Do you feel better now that you can see this universe with CW stars? Do you think this would have been better than the real thing? Probably, but not all of you might agree.

See you, leave your comment and we can discuss this better. I am waiting for those Diggle and Cisco fangirls to come out and eat me alive for ditching them here.

Seeing some thing like this would be interesting. I just wouldn't have casted Stephen and the reason being he already plays an archer.

@BlackIceJoe - Fair enough. Still there are not many parts that Stephen can play outside of Hawkeye. And he has experience in the role.

A very creative idea. And might I add that's a damn impressive cast, especially considering the limitations of only using actors from the CW. Great job, man.

Great fancast, but I find your lack of Grant Gustin Spidey disturbing
CabbageMan
CabbageMan - 7/2/2016, 8:13 PM
@MagNeatO - I would be lying if I said I didn't consider him; and yet, at the end, he was a bit too old for this incarnation of spidey.
MagNeatO
MagNeatO - 7/2/2016, 9:15 PM
@TheBlackmailer - True. I want him for Banner though!!
CabbageMan
CabbageMan - 7/2/2016, 9:32 PM
@MagNeatO - Well, let's suppose for a moment that Banner was in Cap CW... what about Brandon Routh?
MagNeatO
MagNeatO - 7/3/2016, 10:45 AM
@TheBlackmailer - ooh I like that. Who would Gustin be good for?
CabbageMan
CabbageMan - 7/4/2016, 6:27 PM
@MagNeatO - Would have to go outside of the cast of Cap3... how about Starlord, Coulson or - if ever possible - Johnny Storm?

These are all really good but

I cannot imagine Jaime being Matt Nables father lol
CabbageMan
CabbageMan - 7/2/2016, 9:48 PM
@Robby - True... well not everything can be perfect. Besides, if M Fassbender can be Evan Peters father...

Wow, some interesting casting choices. Jensen is probably a little too old for Cap, while Ian might be more appropriate for Tony Stark. Also glad to see Michael Rosenbaum cast in a funny role!

You should've made some room for Nina Dobrev someplace, though. She's too cool to be ignored.

The only problem I see is that your King T'Chaka pick, Jesse Martin, is younger than Michael Jai White, your Black Panther one. Besides that, it looks good!
CabbageMan
CabbageMan - 7/4/2016, 6:36 PM
@SirEdwardIV - If they can cover Christmas trees with white coating I don't see why they can't do the same with Joe West's hair.

Ha this is really well done! I was hoping Kristen Bell would make the list somewhere though.

I really like Michael Rosenbaum and would love to see him in any CBM.
