With the recent success of Game of Thrones and Thor, I think it's the perfect time to reboot He-man and the Masters of the Universe.
First off, I think it should be an origin story. Not too many people are familiar with the characters and storylines from the old 80's series.
Second. I would want Kenneth Branagh to direct. He would do a great job of bringing Eternia to life.
Finally, the cast (open to any and all suggestions)
Rachel Nichols as Teela
Rachel has the look of Teela and the role I have in mind is similiar to Black Widow in the Avengers.
Michad Brooks as Stratos
Michad was pretty good in True Blood, he is someone to watch in the next few years
Tom Selleck as Man at Arms
I would love to see Magnum PI as the Man at Arms
(Jeffery Dean Morgan is also a great fit)
Nate Jones as Beastman
Nathan has the build and I wouldn't have Beastman as a "speaking role" more along the lines as an Evil Chewbacca.
Gemma Arterton as Evil-lyn
The Eyes! oh the eyes
Alexander skarsgard as Skeletor
he is Great in True Blood
Jared Padalecki as He-Man
He has the look to play Prince Adam and the build to play He-Man, Supernatural is a good show and I think he can pull it off.
