I am no DC fan but I am in some ways a Batman fan and a huge fan of the current trilogy. Here I will be taking a look at the villain(s) of the current trilogy and explaining what makes them unique from the other.

Batman Begins

Ra's al ghul

Ra's al ghul is one of Batman's most challenging foes and is the one who taught Batman all the fighting he knows (according to Batman Begins.) But what makes him so different than the rest is that he wants to clens the world of evil and sins. Although he does not realize by killing people to do so is a evil and sin. He is one who knows Batman's secret and knows how he behaves and fights and knows how to get inside his head. All of that and his motives makes him a unique foe for The Dark Knight.

Scarecrow

He is unique and in a way, a challenging nemesis for Batman due to his weapon of choice. A toxin that makes you think you're seeing your deepest, darkest fears. Using that he can truely mess up Batman and be a challenge. But not being a physically powerful villain, he needs help.

The Dark Knight

The Joker

The Joker, Batman's most popular enemy and his archnemesis. He has no motives, he just wants to bring chaos and death. But now I think about it, as stated in The Dark Knight he just wanted to prove that even someone as good as Harvey Dent could fall. He truely is a phsyco but because of his "plans" he proves to be a deadly enemy for Batman.

Two-Face

Harvey Dent, Gotham's D.A went from a White Knight to a man seeking revenge. Joker used him as an example in The Dark Knight, in the comics he turned evil after acid was thrown in his face and melted half of his face. So therfore he went after Batman for revenge for not protecting him, in The Dark Knight he wants revenge because he thought that the people responsible for Rachael Dawes' (a character for the Nolan movies) death. Despite The Joker telling him that they were the cause of her death when it was Joker all along. But he is unique in the sense that his only motive is revenge. He really isn't much of a threat, unfortunately (p.s he is my favorite Batman villain.)

The Dark Knight Rises

Catwoman

She is to me one of Batmans biggest challenges because of the fact she is a match for Batman because of her quickness and her artillary of weapons plus you never know if she is an ally or foe which really makes her unique. How they'll portry her in the movie is unkown.

Bane

The big baddie of the of the finale. Bane is a physically and phsycologically challenging opponent for Batman. His ultimate challenge. His motives in the new film aren't entirely clear but what is clear is he wants to destroy Gotham. Is he possibly some apprentice of Ra's al ghul and finishing what Ra's couldnt? Very possible. But Bane is unique because he can out do batman in everything. What very little, if no one else can.
