My objective is simple: To cast the Sinister Six within The Amazing Spider-Man film universe (or as I like to call it, the "Webbverse). Of course, as the Sinister Six has many incarnations, it's best to narrow down its members, and the best way to do that is to figure out who is most likely to appear in this universe. With that in mind, two of its members have already been introduced: Jamie Foxx as Electro and Paul Giamatti as Rhino. But who else is on the team?
Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Doctor Octopus
With Doc Ock, I decided to use the Spectacular Spider-Man version of the character as a base. He's a man who seems shy and clumsy at first, but deep down, he's a cunning schemer filled with anger and hatred.
Now, I understand the backlash of some fans who don't want yet ANOTHER repeated villain. But simply put, you really can't have the Sinister Six without Doc Ock. He's the mastermind, and has been in almost every incarnation of the group. Yeah, they could use Green Goblin, but Norman is the kind of guy who likes to get things done on his own.
Jason Momoa as Kraven the Hunter
This version of Kraven would be an amalgamation of both Sergei and Alyosha (his son), using the former's origin, and the latter's ability to communicate with and control animals. I think it would be a pretty cool plot device if Kraven attempted to use his powers to control Spider-Man, causing Peter Parker to "wrestle" with himself to break free. And if that's too far-fetched, he could simply use his powers to shut down Spidey's Spider Sense.
Ignore the fact that Jason Momoa isn't Russian. Kraven is calculating, ruthless, and feral, and I believe that Momoa can possess all of these qualities onscreen.
Matt Dillon as Sandman
Flint Marko is just a generic bank robber who's sick and tired of getting the crap kicked out of him by Spidey. Desperate to squash the Webhead, Marko turns to Osborn, who uses him as a guinea pig for his expirements.
As for Matt Dillon as Sandman, he's got the stature and the attitude. What more is there to say?
Eric Roberts as Shocker
This version of Shocker is pretty much in-line with the Ultimate version, the only difference being the less flamboyant costume, and an alliance with Flint Marko.
I chose Eric Roberts because, hot-damn, he's got charisma, and is spectacular at playing egocentric characters. It also helps that he looks like Ultimate Shocker.
Whelp! That's my fancast! Hope you enjoyed reading, and comment below!
