Star Was is an awesome space opera franchise created by George Lucas. The first film in the franchise was released on May 25, 1977, by 20th Century Fox, and became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon, followed by two sequels, released at three-year intervals. Sixteen years after the release of the trilogy's final film, the first in a new prequel trilogy of films was released, again released at three-year intervals, with the final film released on May 19, 2005.
The Star Wars film series has spawned other media including books, television series, video games, and comic books. These supplements to the film trilogies comprise the Star Wars Expanded Universe, and have resulted in significant development of the series' fictional universe. These media kept the franchise going in the interim between the film trilogies.
Like most of the fans were or still MAD at George Lucas for how he made the Prequels, wished the could have been better.
What if, Star Wars wasn't made til the early 2000's or started the Saga in 2007. Who would they cast as Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Obi Wan Kenobi or Darth Vader.
If I were in charge of a Star Wars Saga, I would have changed some stuff that George Lucas kept in the Original Triology and Prequels.
Prequels first, basically the BIG changes that most fans wanted NOT to happen.
Episode 1 changes.
-The title for starters, would have called it "Return of the Sith" or "The Beginning".
-Erasing Jar Jar Binks from the Universe.
-Give Darth Maul more screen time and give him a few more lines.
-Changing the actor of young Anakin Skywalker.
-The 10-15 minute Pod Racing scene, seriously George a 15 minute scene of a Pod Race that wouldn't even take 5 minutes to do.
- Changing the age gap of Anaking and Padme, seriously Padme is a cougar, she is like 8-9 years older then Anakin. I would have made them like 3-4 years apart, seriously again George 8-9 years apart.
-No need for kids to learn of Politics in Star Wars, that is why their is School.
-The politic meetings took longer then the battle scenes, so I would have trimmed them or erased them.
-The fight scene between Obi Wan, Qui Gon and Darth Maul to be more badass.
-To be honest, I could go on LONGER for Episode 1, since this is a fancast, I would skip the other Episodes.
Episode 2.
-Recasting Anaking once again, would have picked Jared Padalecki, Sam Witwer, Nick Stahl or Jensen Ackles as Anakin.
-Fun fact all 4 actors auditioned for Anakin. Jared was "too tall", Witwer was "too evil looking", Nick Stahl was "too short or something", Ackles was considered "too old", seriously George Lucas. Ackles is 3 years younger then Hayden what's his name.
-Make it more of a Star Wars film then an FN love story.
-Show more of Anakin killing the villagers after his mother died.
-Explaining more of Dooku's betrayal to the Jedi Order.
-Show Anakin and Padme going at it, Game of Thrones style, lmfao jk imagine how many people would be pissed at that and parents mostly.
-Trim the politic meetings or arguements as no child need to hear what is happening in the Star Wars politics.
-Given Jango Fett a more darker death, Mace Windu, cuts off his gun arm then his head. Ok might be too dark, but was in the original draft.
-Show Boba vowing Revenge on Mace Windu for killing his "father", actually the scene was filmed but cut it out before release.
-Show flashback of Obi Wan training Anakin to become a Jedi to show how Anakin's training went.
-Obi Wan getting supscious about Anakin and Padme for starters, (seriously, on Episode 3, she is pregnant and who do you think is the father, since Anakin is the only one who is always with her).
Episode 3.
-Instead of Anakin turning bad to save his wife he would have turned thinking the Jedi plan to rule the Galaxy after the Clone Wars end, which was in George Lucas' original draft.
-Giving Mace Windu a more merciful death, like Anakin impales him behind his back then what happened in Episode 3. Then again if that happened it wouldn't have caused Darth Vader to save Luke on Episode 6.
-Show Anakin kill the younglings, I know I am crazy, but who wouldn't want to see how the younglings were brutally killed by the Clones and Anakin.
-Yoda and Sidious have a better fight scene theen the one we got from Episode 3.
-Anakin and Obi Wan having a MORE darker fight scene (still have to say one of the best lightsaber duels but could have been better).
-Showing more of Obi Wan's reaction to Anakin's betrayal to the Order and saying Anakin was like a little brother to him or even a son to him.
-Padme dies of given birth to Luke and Leia then a stupid "broken heart", seriously George WTF.
-Show Anakin's true emotions about finding out Padme died, like showing him destroying everything around him in anger, over the news. Instead of the stupid "NOOOOOO" scene.
Episode 4.
-Keeping Han shoot first.
Episode 5.
-Not much really, Episode 5 is my favorite Star Wars film, well tied with Return of the Jedi.
-NO incest kiss.
-Show Han's torturing,we saw a few seconds but wouldn't hurt to show a minute or 2 of his torture.
Episode 6, there would be stuff I would change a bit and add a couple scenes as well.
-Show Luke's forging of his 2nd Lightsaber.
-When Luke snaps after Vader threaten to turn Leia to the Darkside if Luke won't. I WANT to see his eye's turn yellow like the Sith's, who wouldn't want that to happen. If that happened would you guys like that.
-After defeating Vader, you can see that Luke wants to finish Vader, but soon realises he is going to end up just like his father if he strikes him down. Luke tells the Emperor that he failed to corrupt Luke just as The Emperor has not full control on Vader.
-When the Emperor is electricuting Luke, Vader gets flashbacks of when he was Anakin Skywalker. Seeing that the Emperor had lied to him from the very beginning, that it was the Emperor who took everyone he loved from him, including his wife. So basially it is like on Return of the Jedi, but different. Instead of throwing the Emperor to his death, Vader would grab Luke's Lightsaber and impale the Emperor behind his back.
-Killing off Han, like they were suppose to in the Original Return of the Jedi script. Ok that one is a joke.
For directors to be in charge of Star Wars, I would pick.
-Alan Taylor (THOR2).
-Kenneth Brangh (THOR).
-David Yates (Harry Potter films 5-DH.p2).
-Joss Whedon(The AVENGERS).
I'll start with the protagonists from Episodes 4-6
Richard Madden as Luke Skywalker.
Reason- Only saw Richard Madden on Game of Thrones as Robb Stark, eldest son of Eddard and Catelyn Stark. From watching his performance on Game of Thrones, Richard is a trained actor, since he did theatre. I think he is a great choice for Luke Skywalker if cast as Luke in the future, all he needs to do is dye his hair, he'll do a great job as Luke Skywalker. He might need to lose that Irish Accent he has.
Other choices- Kit Harington, Dane Dehaan.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Princess Leia Organa
Reason- Winstead is good actress in such films Scott Pilgrim, the THING, Die Hard 4, Death Proof. She has the acting skills to pull off Leia and she is only 3 years older then Richard Madden, but I think they can pull it off as fraternal twins. Besides who doesn't want to see Mary Elizabeth Winstead in that gold bikini. She do a good job as Leia in a Star Wars reboot.
Other choices- Anna Kendrick, Jamie Alexander.
Taylor Kitsch as Han Solo
Reason- MANY other people cast older actors to play Han Solo, I thought to cast Taylor Kitsch as Han Solo. I think this is an original casting (if not comment below about it), Kitsch is a pretty good actor. He was good on Firday Night Lights, X-MEN Wolverine. He suprised me after I saw him on John Carter (great film by the way). After that movie, I knew right away he should be Han Solo if Star Wars The Original Triology started in 2007, he can do a great job as Han Solo.
Other choices- Jake Gyllenhaal.
Brian Steele as Chewbacca
Reason- Brian is a tall guy I think he is 6ft10, he also did movies such as Underworld films as the Lycans, Hellboy II as that big blue thing they fight. Also played the 3 Super Predators on PREDATORS. So why not have him play Chewbacca, besides he mentioned before that he is a Star Wars fan.
Matt Smith as C3PO
Reason- He is great on Doctor Who, so why not let him be C3PO if Star Wars is ever rebooted or if they decided to film the Saga back in 2009. Also a few people mentioned to me he should be C3PO in a reboot.
Other choices- David Tennat
Peter Dinklage as R2D2
Reason- Who doesn't want Tyrion Lannister as the most badass Droid of them all. Sorry HK-47 if Peter Dinklage becomes R2D2 you will be number 2 of most badass droids.
Idirs Elba as Lando Calrissian
Reason-Idris Elba is another fan favorite for Lando Calrissian, he is a great choice for Lando. He was great in Daddy's Little Girls by Tyler Perry, on THOR as Hiemdell, The LOSERS. Saw him on the Wire, which he did a great job on as well. My point is Idris Elba is the best choice for Lando Calrissian.
Sean Bean as Obi Wan Kenobi
Reason- Sean Bean is an AWESOME actor, he was an AWESOME Boromir on Peter Jackon's Lord of the Rings, 006 on Goldeneye, also as Eddard "Ned" Stark on Game of Thrones. After those roles, I knew right away he should play the old Obi Wan Kenobi. He is Sean Bean after all, give him a good script he like's then BAM nails the role he is given.
Other choices- Ian McKellen
Andy Serkis as the voice of Yoda
Reason- Serkis is anotherfan favorite for the role of Yoda, he was an awesome Gollum on Lord of the Rings, Ceaser on Rise of the Planet of the Apes. He can motion capture for Yoda as well if he would voiced him, Serkis also mentioned he is a Star Wars fan so why not let him be Yoda.
Other choices- None.
Villains of the Original Triology
Jeremy Irons or Hugo Weaving as the voice of Darth Vader
Reason for Irons- Jeremy Irons is a great actor, he was awesome on The Man in the Iron Mask, Eragon (not a good film but was good in it), he was AWESOME as Scar on the Lion King. He is great on the Borgias, after those roles I knew he had to voice Darth Vader in a future Reboot.
Reason for Weaving- The guy is a good actor, he was an awesome Red Skull on Captain America, Agent Smith on the Matrix films, Elrond on Lord of the Rings, V on V for Vendetta. He also voiced Megatron in the Michael Bay versions of Transformers, if given a chance he can do a great job as Darth Vader's voice. Rather Irons or Weaving voice Vader.
Tom Hiddleston as the Emperor
Reason- Tom Hiddleston was an awesome Loki on THOR, just saw the AVENGERS an hour ago. He is awesome on there and was better then he was in THOR. How he played Loki sort of reminds me of Emperor Paplatine, if he was given a chance he will do a great job as the Emperor. All he needs to do is given make up to make him look old.
Other choices- Ian Holm, Terrance Stamp.
Christoph Waltz as General Tarkin
Reason- Waltz is also another fan favorite to play General Tarkin in a Star Wars Reboot or Star Wars was made in the 2000's. He is a great actor on Inglorious Bastards, which made me believe he can do a great Tarkin. So why not pick him if they Reboot Star Wars or Star Wars was never made til the 2000's.
Other choices- None
Kevin Michael Richardson as the voice of Jabba the Hutt.
Reason- He voices him on the Clone Wars tv series so why not let him voice him again in a film.
Other choices- None.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldeau as Boba Fett, Jango Fett and voice of all Clones.
Reason- He is AWESOME on Game of Thrones as Jamie Lannister, he was perfect for the role despite his character being a (spoiler). After seeing him on Game of Thrones, I can see him as Boba Fett. If you do not believe WATCH HIM on Game of Thrones, he is a great choice for Boba Fett.
Other choices-Mark Strong, Arnold Vosloo
Cameo in the Original Triology
Mark Addy and Michelle Fairley as Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru
Reason- Addy was awesome on Game of Thrones as Robert Baratheon, while Michelle is great as Catelyn Stark. Despite only having a couple scenes together I can see them as Luke's Aunt and Uncle. Also both worked with Richard Madden on Game of Thrones as Michelle played his characters mother. I say the 2 would make a good Owen and Beru.
The Prequel cast.
Viggo Mortenson as Qui Gon Jinn
Reason- Originally wanted Sean Bean as Qui Gon but thought his Lord of the Rings co-star was more suited for Qui Gon. Viggo was AWESOME as Aragorn in Lord of the Rings. History of Violence he was great on there and the Road. If given a chance he can do a great job as Qui Gon Jinn.
Other choices- Gary Oldman.
James McAvoy as Obi Wan Kenobi
Reason- Originally wanted Michael Fassbender but thought James was more suited for the role. To be honest it would hard to outperform Ewan McGregor as he nailed the role of Obi Wan Kenobi. After seeing Jame MsAvoy on X-MEN First Class, he was downright perfect for a younger Obi Wan Kenobi.
Other choices- Kit Harington
Kit Harington or Dane Dehaan as Anakin Skywalker
Reason for Kit- He is awesome on Game of Thrones as Jon Snow bastard son of Eddard Stark. He kinda reminds of Anakin sometimes, I originally wanted Kit as rather a young Obi Wan or Luke but thought he was suited for Anakin. He can do a good job as Anakin if given a chance.
Reason for Dane- Only saw him on Chronicle, which he did a great job on as Andrew. His character reminded me of Anakin, alot which a few people put him as Anakin and I think he can a do a good job as Anakin.
Other choices- Richard Madden but already chosen as Luke.
Jaimie Alexander as Padme Amildila
Reason- I like Natalie Portman as an actress but didn't like how George made her character so I cast Jaimie Alexander as Padme. I believe she can do the character some justice if given a chance. Only saw her on THOR and thought that's how the Padme character should have been and if Jaimie was chosen she could make the character more badass.
Also wouldn't have killed Geroge not dress the character like an FN clown or mime. Which wouldn't hurt to make her wear a bit more revealling clothes then she did on the Prequels. Besides Jaimie Alexander is 3 years older the Kit Harington and Dane Dehann so it would suit the characters.
Other choices- None I could think of
Michael Jai White as Mace Windu
Reason- The guys is Perfect for this role now, he can make Mace Windu more badass if he was chosen as Mace Windu. He might be able to do a better job then Samuel L Jackson did. I would have made Mace Windu have more fight scenes in the Prequels if I was in charge the guy is badass til he got killed.
Villains of the Prequels
Ray Park(motion capture) and Sam Witwer (voice only) as Darth Maul
Reason- Ray Park can return to play Darth Maul if he was asked but would get Samw Witwer to voiced Darth Maul since Witwer did an awesome job as Maul on the 2 part Star Wars the Clone Wars Season 4 Finale. If this happened Maul would be more badass. Also if I was in charge of the Prequels I would have made Darth Maul have a more screen time and lines.
Charles Dance as Count Dooku
Reason- I thought Christopher Lee was too old for the role of Count Dooku, but he did do a great job as the Sith. After watching Game of Thrones, I might have found a new Dooku, Charles Dance. He is awesome as Tywin Lannister, he can do a great job as Count Dooku if given a chance.
Ralph Fiennes as the voice of General Grevious
Reason- He is Voldermort for starts, he did a good job as Hades in the Clash of the Titans remake and Wrath of the Titans. I can see Ralph Fiennes as Grevious voice if he was given a chance. Besides who doesn't want to hear Voldermort voicing General Grevious.
Cameos in Episode 1 and 2
Lena Headly as Shimi Skywalker.
Reason- She is the only one I can see as Anakin's mother, Originally wanted Michelle Fairley for the role but thought she is too old for the role. Besides Lena is a good actress, she was good in 300, Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles and Game of Thrones. I can see her as this role.
Isaac Hempstead-Wright as 10 year old Anakin Skywalker.
Reason- This kid is a good actor for his age, he is good on Game of Thrones as Bran Stark. He is a good choice for a young Anakin and he would do a FAR better job then Jake Lloyd will ever do.
THAT'S ALL FOLKS.
Hope you guys liked this casting, if you have any other choices for the roles, just comment below.
My next project is a Justice League fancast, then a THOR/Superman fancast (using the cast from THOR to a Superman movie).
