There was an abundance of memorable moments in Joss Whedon's The Avengers. Moments that included breathtaking action scenes, brilliant character interactions and an overall satisfying script.
My personal favorite being the shot of Iron Man firing a repulsor blast directly at Cap's shield, reducing nearby Chitauri forces to nothing.
Over the past few months, as news surrounding Marvel's follow up to the record setting team up flick began to arise, speculation and wishful thinking ensued.
So here are a few things I wish too see...
A Global Scale
Getting out of New York and into the world. Much like the desperation that was embodied in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the danger needs to feel global. Set pics have seemingly promised us this but I hope the majority of the film is spent abroad.
Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch Raising Questions
Off screen there has been plenty that has been said about the Maximoff twins regarding how they come to be. From the mid credits stinger in Captain America: The Winter Soldier we learn that they were not born with powers, therefore, not mutants. Somehow, by harnessing the power of Loki's Sceptre aka The Mind/Space gem and possibly utilising the "empty slot" Aldrich Killian mentions in Iron Man 3, they have been able alter the Twin's DNA. I hope half of this confusion and wonder is tranferred onto the Avengers themselves.
Banter
Armed with Joss Whedon's expected quick, witty humour Marvel's The Avengers had plenty of great banter. I hope this time around the banter is more personal now that they have had time to adjust to one another.
Avengers Tower
After getting glimpses of Avengers headquarters in both Marvel's The Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, fans are eagerly awaiting a full tour. There is no doubt that Tony Stark has pimped out his pad with all his tricks and toys that he is known for. Seeing Thor And Cap trying to comprehend how to use said gadgets would be hilarious.
Cap Taking Charge
Many fans seem to be under the impression that Cap was not the leader in The Avengers. Which completely baffles me as we have seen plenty of Cap's leadership skills in every film. What makes his leadership something to anticipate in this film is that Ultron is not your standard villain. He isn't really the type of villain you punch and kick. Seeing Cap giving orders on this one will prove to be his toughest yet.
Ultron
Constantly uprgrading and hell bent on decimating the human race, Ultron is a force to be reckoned with. I first and formost want to see the brutality of Ultron. Anihilitaing the Avengers in their first encounter and possibly killing one of them off (sorry Hawkeye). Next I hope to see his reasons for ending the human race to be somewhat understandable. Afterall, we are destroying the planet, it's creatures and each other. I hope his reasons are expressed in depth and in a disgusted manner.
Kick Ass Action
It is a given I suppose considering the jaw dropping action we received in The Avengers. But I hope to see some new crazy shit that fully utilises each Avenger's capabilities.
