I can't wait any longer for Hollywood.

Anybody who’s seen Jonny Quest was more than likely enthralled. If you were than, like me you’ve been waiting patiently for Hollywood to make a live action movie depicting the characters and story CORRECTLY. I was born long after but was still able to enjoy the cartoon while growing up. Later, the Real Adventures of Jonny Quest was created. Those “real” adventures were, apparently, only fun for me. I liked how it became more of a mystery/ghost/monster hunt.

Again, only I thought this was fun because even the writers almost completely changed their style the 2nd season; back as closely to the original as possible.

Clearly, the original is the way to go if ever there was a live-action movie. It could be Indiana Jones for this generation.

ATTN HOLLYWOOD: This is the one to do… and do it correctly; a bit rougher and bloodier but still for children

Jonny Quest is an American science fiction/adventure about a boy who accompanies his father on extraordinary adventures.
Inspired by radio serials and comics in the action-adventure genre, it featured more realistic art, characters, and stories than Hanna-Barbera's previous cartoon programs.

The animated James Bond-like action series focused on the globe-trotting adventures of US government scientist, Dr. Benton Quest; his 11-year-old son, Jonny; adopted, Indian son, Hadji; family bodyguard, Roger "Race" Bannon; and their pet, black-masked bulldog, Bandit (a more cartoonish character included for comic relief). Dr. Quest did not go looking for adventures, instead adventures always found him. This "serious" show, a departure from the usual Saturday morning cartoon fare, made for entertaining animated sci-fi.
The Quest team travels the globe studying scientific mysteries, which generally end up to be explained away as the work of various bad guys. Such pursuits get them into scrapes with foes that range from espionage robots and electrical monsters to Egyptian mummies and pterosaurs

******Controversy

Jonny Quest was highly controversial because it featured much more realistic violence than other Hanna-Barbera cartoons. It became one of the main targets of parental watchdog groups such as Action for Children's Television (ACT). With its multiple on-screen deaths, murder attempts, use of firearms and deadly weapons and tense moments, Jonny Quest was decried as the epitome of what was wrong with Saturday morning cartoons.

Jonathan "Jonny" Quest
an eleven-year-old, American boy, who lost his mother at an early age. Though unenthusiastic in his schooling, he is adventurous, and generally athletic, with a proficiency in judo, scuba diving, and the handling of firearms

Played by
Nathon Gamble

I checked about 15 blonde children and he was the most qualified to me
The Mist, The Dark Knight (as James Jr), Marley & Me,and The Hole, in which he portrays Lucas Thompson. The film is scheduled for release in 2010.

Dr. Benton C. Quest
Jonny's father and a US government scientist, considered to be "one of the three top scientists in the world," with interests and technical know-how spanning many fields of science. Raises Jonny and Hadji as a single father.

Played by
Damian Lewis

It was between him and Kevin McKidd, but McKidd seemed almost TOO tough

The NBC drama Life and the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers

Roger T. "Race" Bannon
special agent / bodyguard / pilot from Intelligence One. Governmental fears that Jonny could "fall into the wrong hands" resulted in the assignment of Bannon to guard and tutor him. An expert in judo.

Played by
Geoff Stults

A very hard one to cast for me. As a matter of fact I’ve always wanted to, but been hesitant to, cast Mark Wahlberg. It wasn’t untill I decided on Stults that I went ahead with the cast

He’s thick, not overly muscular, with an american-boy quality. I see him as being great in action too.

My pick, STILL, over Ryan Renolds for GL

Happytown, Wedding Crashers, The Break-up, She’s Out of My League

Hadji
a street-wise Calcutta orphan, who becomes the eleven-year old adopted son of Dr. Benton Quest. Proficient in judo, having learned it from an American Marine. The seventh son of a seventh son, Hadji seems to possess mystical powers (including snake charming, levitation, magic, and hypnotism) which may or may not be attributed to parlor trickery.

Played by
Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail
I wanted the child from 2012, only because I’m familiar with him. No name. no pic. So, I searched Bollywood.

played the youngest version of Salim Malik in the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire, for which he won a Screen Actors Guild Award. Following the film's success, he was cast in the Bollywood film Kal Kisne Dekha

Dr. Zin
Zin was identified as the arch rival of the show's adult protagonist, Benton Quest, but considered the other heroes of the show to be his adversaries as well

He would NOT be so steriotypical. I cast younger to balance of of Dr. Quest.
The 3 most obvious choices to me were Yun-Fat, Li, and Watanabe. I did’nt want obvious so I thought about the amzing actor B.D. Wong from Oz and L&O:SVU; too old for Quest at 50.

Played by
Daniel Dae Kim
Lost, Hawaii Five-0

Jade
a "woman of mystery". In her first appearance Jezebel Jade arrives in the jungle on "business with Race, naturally". Soon, she identifies Race’s double as a fake with a single kiss. At the end of the show, she kisses the real Race and remarks, "There’s only one Race Bannon!" Jade shows a little more of her character and background in Terror Island. "I almost never kidnap my friends...for money, that is." She is seen traveling around Hong Kong searching for answers, getting tough when the situation calls for it. She ends up saving the day/everyone. She promises to overcharge for her assistance but in the end, her fondness for Race shows through when she willingly accepts his "down payment”.

In need of a female role I chose the ONLY reoccurring female, a love-interest for Race.

The finalist of 6

Played by
Emily Blunt
Stop it… you know who she is by now

Ninja, c'mon if you dont like my picks, fine, but dont choose a 68 year old Ford as the team body guard. thats just dissappointing and out of place. 20 years ago hes perfect even slighty too old but its Ford, so its good. Frakes is 58, its alittle off id still accept it though but maybe a little too old--maybe. and Yun-Fat, didn't you read my stuff i said no to him because its too obvious

Very original cast! I like it!

The original and The Real Adventures are both great in their own way!:) But i prefer Jonny and Hadji as older!

These are maybe too obivous choices but if they work im cool with them!
Lucas Till, Alexander Ludwig, Aaron Johnson, Logan Lerman or Zac Efron (I dont think he is that bad choice) as Jonny Quest
Liam Neeson as Benton Quest
Daniel Craig or Dwayne Johnson (Race is pretty big and dark skinned in the original series and i think Johnson would be very bad ass in the role) as Race Bannnon
Jeremy Irons as Dr. Jeremiah Surd
Ken Watanabe as Dr. Zin
Gerard Butler as Ezekiel Rage
Dev Patel or someone unknown as Hadji Singh
Unknown as Jessie Bannon

This is fantastic Ager@!

Thanks for telling me about this on my
JOEBOOT casting! I don't know how I missed
this!

I prefer the old younger Johnny Quest
cartoons than the new ones. The old
ones have a heart to them! The new ones
are kinda dull and lifeless! All zip and no
heart at the center!

This is a great line-up! Good casting
through and through!

Excellent!
