So what if Star Wars were made today and not back in the day?

Don't get all up in arms about this. Its purely for fun. If you're gonna hate it, hate it for its content and not the idea. This was a very fun cast to do.

The cast, i'll make up for lack of characters with pics

Luke Skywalker - Anthony Ingruber

Anthony-a serious talent who's basically unkown but is slowly trasitioning to film. He's worked with WETA on a couple of big budget films and has done Short films, but his real talent shines through in his youtube videos, where he pefectly captures the essence of characters and actors through impeccable impressions. His talent is exactly what's needed for Luke.

Princess Leia - Emily Blunt

Emily- when I first began to think of Leia, this idea just popped in my head. Emily Blunt. She's possibly my favorite actress to date, with brilliant range, notably in The Devil Wears Prada and looks great in the upcoming Adjustment Bureau. She also happens to be amazingly beautiful, breath-taking even.

Han Solo - Jon Bernthal

Jon - You may know Jon from The Walking Dead in which he always gives a great performance. I was watching and just thought his charisma would be perfect for Han.

Ben Kenobi - Jeremy Irons

Jeremy-One of the greats of cinema, he truly has graced the screen with his presence throughout the years. His notable roles include Reversal of Fortune, Die Hard With a Vengeance, Appaloosa and voicing Scar in the Lion King, a showcase of his great voice. His obi-wan would be as memorable as Alecs

Darth Vader - Hugo Weaving

Hugo- Vaders not only a very iconic figure, he's also my favorite character of the whole series (and a general badass, too), so I would only cast him if I knew the person could do an amazing job. So I got one of the best actors of this generation: Hugo Weaving. The man has brilliant as shown in The Matrix as Agent Smith, Lord of the Rings as Elrond, V for Vendetta as V, and the upcoming Captain America as (what appears to be the best cbm villain ever) Johann Schmidt. And he also has an epic voice, just see his voicework as Megatron in the Transformers series. Weaving is about the only person id trust to become Darth Vader.

Grand Moff Tarkin - Bill Nighy

Bill- a brilliant actor with terrific range, who's best known for playing Davy Jones (I was kinda surprised when I found out), Shaun of the Dead, Hot fuzz, Hitchhikers guide, voicework and more recntly Rufus Scrimgeur in Deathly Hallows. He's the type of actor who's presence even in small roles always shines through.

C3PO - David Hyde Pierce

David Hyde Pierce-though he's probably known to most audiences for his role on Frasier, he's shown his range and capability through his extensive voicework. It was ultimately his voicework as Abe Sapien in the first Hellboy (uncredited and didn't come back for '2') besides his range, of course, that he could easily be this generations C3P0.

Chewbacca - Doug Jones

Doug- I know he only stands at a solid 6'4 (6'5 with a heel), but its hard to find an actor who's very tall and fits the spirit of the character. I wouldn't worry about height since sfx are pretty amazing nowadays, that wouldn't be a problem. Dougs also a really great actor but unfortunately is rarely allowed to use his voice and needs bigger roles. He would definitely be able to produce a voice for this role.

Admiral Ackbar - Kenneth Branagh

Kenneth - I chose Kenneth because of his work in the second Harry Potter. There's just this air about him, tht would keep with the characters spirit. His voice would hilariously deliver Ackbars famous lines.

Lando - Ernie Hudson

Ernie-when I looked at this role I thought, this needs to be somebody who comes off as smooth as Billy Dee. Ernie is exactly that, just look at him in Ghostbusters, he has a very 'smooth' presence in that movie, which is absolutely perfect for Lando

Boba Fett - Josh Brolin

Josh- My earliest memory of him is probably his role in The Goonies, which he gave an okay performance in. But fast forward to No Country For Old Men, and his real talent shines through. In W, he played George Bush, and was pretty good, and kinda humorously, perfect at being Bush. Recently (skipping over Jonah Hex) he lost himself in his role in True Grit. But it was ultimately his 'badass' essence and voice that won me over for him as Fett.

Jabba the Hutt - Michael Clarke Duncan

Michael-Truly a great actor of our times, Michael had his big break in The Green Mile, a role in which he gave a very emotional performance. He's honestly pretty under-rated for being such a big name, and is known for his very deep voice. I think Michael could make and provide a pretty good voice for gangster Jabba.

Greedo - Walton Goggins

Walton- even though Greedos a pretty small character, a lot of fans love him, so I chose brilliant character actor Walton Goggins, an underrated actor you might know from the Shield and more recently Predators. His Greedo would be both funny and Frickin Great.

Emperor Palpatine - Ian Holm

Ian-an actor who always overshadows other actors in the same film. He also has a creepy tinge to him, and the looks down pat. Notable roles I've seen him in include Homecoming, King Lear, Chariots of Fire and he was also Bilbo Baggins in LOTR. His presence would make for an epic emperor.

What about Joe Flannigan as Han Solo, he pretty much played him on stargate Atlantis.

I have nothing against your cast but it is just hard for me to wrap my mind around other actors playing such iconic roles as these. Other than that you have a pretty good cast here.

I would cast Josh Brolin as Han and Mekhi Phifer as Lando

Epic Vader though!
