Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno, the first of two sequels to the 2012 live-action Rurouni Kenshin film opened on August 1, 2014 in Japan. To date, the film has earned $30.64M dollars in Japan.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends is directed by Keishi Ōtomo and stars as Takeru Satoh as Himura Kenshin. It is based on the 1994 manga written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki.
