CASE CLOSED: Chewbacca Shows Off His STAR WARS Script; Confirms Who Shot First

Recently a copy of the original script to Star Wars was revealed that confirmed who shot first between Han and Greedo. While that's cool, we now have Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) who took to Facebook showing off his Star Wars script which confirms who shot first. Click to learn the truth.

I won't lie, while I love Star Wars, I never cared for the who shot first between Han and Greedo debate. I just always excepted they shot at the same time with Greedo for some reason missing at point blank range. It seems like Han shot first but when George Lucas updated the films in '97, he made it so Greedo shot first and goes by that. But the other day it was said someone found a fan-made replica of the script and in it, it was stated Han shot first. While the original article had no photographic evidence and this is the internet, there was no way for anyone else to confirm this was true. Until now since it's confirmed by none other than Chewbacca himself that the fan-made replica was wrong. Peter Mayhew went to Facebook to end the debate on who shot first posting images of his script in which he responded by saying:

This should settle the Original story of "who shot first" .. after all these years, it still feels like I'm leaking a story line — feeling amused.

While it seems as though Greedo went by Allen in the original script, it seems as though this is a case closed that Han shot first now that we have the actually page from the original script as the source. What are your thoughts on Peter Mayhew showing off the original script confirming who should first? Do you prefer Han showing first? Greedo? Or do you wondering why the hell no one seems to wonder how Leia was able to remember her real mother in Padme when she talked to Luke about her real mother in Return of the Jedi? I mean one could say through the force but now we are making the Force a bigger plot convenience than Batman's belt or Iron Man's suits. Comment below, let me know. Peace and remember...

It's heavily debated because Lucas changed it in the special editions. Here's the original and the updated.

It's common sense that Han shot first.

It's not THAT big a deal, but it's debated because it's just another instance of Lucas retroactively damaging his own characters. The prequels and a lot of his changes to the originals ended up taking the edge off of badass characters, and that shit gets old yo.

Well in the video @Levitikuz posted you can see that Greedo shot first and that's how it was meant to be.

Doesn't matter what's in the script. What matters is how they shot it.
In the original cut when Han Solo shoots you see the white smoke. In the new edition after Greedo shoots you see the sparkles and THEN the white smoke.

So yeah they shot the scene like that. END OF DEBATE STAR WARS FANS (Never seen episodes 4-6 btw), Greedo SHOT FIRST.

But seriously, that edit to make Han Solo's head move is simply ridiculous. And who the [frick] misses from that close ? Lucas should have kept the original cut though

You are people are pathetic. George changed his mind, they shot at the same time. That's your case closed.

The reason Lucas wanted to change it later is the same reason Spielberg switched the guns out with walkie-talkies in E.T., they both have became much bigger liberal pussies as they have gotten older.

@BatmanIsBaddest
Because you can't just change your mind. If you want to make a new revised, special edition. Fine whatever. But you can't bury the original version in the dirt and try to pretend it didn't happen. If the original cuts were still legally available. Nobody would be mad about Lucas's changes. It's when he forces us to watch it the new way or no way, that these changes start to be a problem.

@TheEpicJuicebox
Because Lucas made these changes in the special editions and then made it so people can't watch the original version of the film.

I'm simply stating that artists shouldn't go back and change their art and destroy the originals. You're calling people pathetic and getting real hostile about it. Sounds like you should be the one crying over it rather than me.

You just have to remember what Lucas meant by "Special Edition."
