John Krasinski Likes The Sound Of Starring Alongside Emily Blunt In An MCU FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot

During a new interview, A Quiet Place director/star John Krasinski was asked if he'd have any interest in playing Reed Richards in a Fantastic Four reboot alongside real-life wife Emily Blunt as Sue Storm.

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt as Reed and Sue Richards in a new Fantastic Four movie? The A Quiet Place director certainly seems to like the sound of it, at any rate.

While chatting to ScreenRant about his critically-acclaimed horror flick, the one-time Captain America contender was asked if he still had any interest in the superhero genre - and more specifically, starring alongside his real-life wife in a new movie based around Marvel's first family.

"Oh yeah, the Fantastic Four. I would love that! I mean listen, I’m still getting into the whole superhero thing. I didn’t read comics as a kid, not as many, I read some but not as much, but I’m a huge superhero fan so yeah, I’d love to do something like that. If they’re are any left, a lot of these have been taken but the ones that are left, yeah, I would love to do something like that. And listen, I’d love to work with her again so any chance I got would be great."

We weren't actually aware that Blunt and Krasinski were fan-favorite picks for Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic, but it's nice to hear that the latter would be on board should the opportunity arise. Blunt, meanwhile, seems happy enough taking to the skies as Mary Poppins, so she might take some convincing!

What do you guys think? Could you see these two in those roles? Drop us a comment in the quiet usual place.

Blunt has a fan-favorite for pretty much every MCU female character. MCU fans really want to see her in this universe. And i completely agree.

Sidenote, i saw Tomb Raider the other night and i still can't understand why Vikander isn't MCU's Jessica Drew yet. I just want her in the MCU asap.

@Jeight8 - I know she has been in constant talks over the years for certain roles. It's inevitable that she joins. Same for Krasinsky, since he was a finalist for Captain America.

@Menks123 - She was finalist for BW and i think Maya Hansen or was it Chastain? She would make a great BW that's not the only good female character Marvel has.

My dream casting i actually a little lef field. I want Blunt as Songbird leading the Thunderbolts in a solo film.

@Jeight8 - Because I believe Sony owns Spider-Woman

@Jeight8 - I just hope that this is something happening behind the scenes lol. She obviously is a great actress and showed how bad ass she could be in Edge of Tomorrow.

Also she is goofy and funny as hell too, always a plus. Same goes for John. I'd be in nerd heaven if they got cast as the two.

@Menks123 - I hope Feige is constantly calling Iger and asks him how the approval comes around, lol. I think he is anticipating it as much as we do no matter how coy he acts in press.

@Jeight8 - Oh he for sure is. I can't imagine the thoughts that go through his head with the pending deal.

@LEVITIKUZ - I don't think they actually do, I remember reading that Spider-Woman isn't actually a derivative of Spider-Man, despite sharing a similar moniker and unless the original deal specifically included Spider-Woman, then the rights should still be held by Marvel.

@Jeight8 - Blunt was going to be BW and later Peggy, Chastain almost played Maya Hansen

@Jeight8 - John Krasinski was a finalist for Cap and Star Lord. Only a matter of time until he gets an MCU role!

i don't see his Inspector Gadget lookin'-arse as Reed, but i guess i wouldn't care so long as we got the FF into the fold.
