Universal Pictures have decided to push back the released date on their reboot of
The Mummy by two months in order to slot in Frank Darabont's
The Huntsman, which is a spinoff to Rupert Sanders'
Snow White and the Huntsman. So, that means
The Mummy reboot will open in theaters
June 24, 2016 and
The Huntsman will open
April 22, 2016.
The Huntsman will focus on Chris Hemsworth's role from the first film. The Hollywood Reporter have been told that Kristen Stewart ("Twilight") will not appear in it, but surprisingly Charlize Theron ("Mad Max: Fury Road"), who played the evil witch, will return.
