Variety is reporting that Gemma Arterton has been casted as Gretel, an older version of the classic folklore along side with her brother, Hansel played by Jeremy Renner, as a bounty hunter specializing in bringing down witches. The Movie is directed by Tommy Wirkola and is being released by Paramount Picture's. The movie's title is Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.

Variety is also reporting that the filming will take place in the eight weeks between the currently-shooting Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Renner's next major project The Avengers.

shooting a movie in 8 week wow, sounds promising but whats up with hollywood, theres been a sudden increase in dark takes on fairy tails all of sudden.
