How can you not watch a classic at least once a year? If that sentence describes you then its a brand new day for you my friend. The original theatrical movie release of 'Lord Of The Rings' Trilogy is being released on Blu-ray April 6, 2010!

With out further ado:

I know they originally said it would be sometime earlier this year and then it got moved up to Christmas, and then after Christmas. Blah, Blah, Blah. At least this time they gave us a concrete date and a trailer to boot.

Many thanks to Collider.com!

"The original theatrical movie release of 'Lord Of The Rings' Trilogy is being released on Blu-ray April 6, 2010!"

That's why I put Theatrical in their instead of Extended Cut.

Kind of a bummer though, but an easy way for the studio to make yet even more money.

I'm not sure if I'll buy them as soon as they come out...I waited a while and managed to get the Spider-Man trilogy on blu-ray and it was less than half the price of when it was first released!

Guys, dont forget to check out my CHAMPIONS Fan Cast under "Fan Fic"! :)

yeah um i can stand the two towers unless its the extended, all the best parts of that film were cut out wtf? ok lets leave the bests parts of the book for part 3 since the first movie dragged into the begining of the 2nd book anyway just so we can stretch out whats left for a poor end effect. two towers was my favorite of the books and least favorite of the films. oh well, if i am waiting for star wars i can wait for the proper lotr on blu ray too. sucks thou

A message to all CBMers from THEPHOENIX (THEHAWK's wife):

"Hawk was in a pretty bad motorcycle wreck this weekend. He is stable, but still unconscious. Someone has also gotten into HAWK's e-mail account and changed the password. They are now using it to contact everyone he knows and ask for money. He is not stuck in Europe or hiding out in Pakistan, he is in a hospital bed. It is a scam! So to everyone that was contacted, DO NOT send any money transfers!!!"

Yea total waste...if you have the EXTENDED VERSION already released on friggin DVD where is the logic in getting an already fragile economy to spend more on a THEATRICAL VERSION when you can save a helluva lot of people a crap load of money and just release the EXTENDED CUT only...I mean seriously...I dispise money grubbing A$$H0!ES...definately waiting the EXTENDED CUT to grace my well earned BluRay....
