The Hobbit Movies Have Been Delayed

The Hobbit Movies Have Been Delayed

It seems that we will have to wait until 2012 now, to see the first part...

On a article from Variety it was stated that The Hobbit films have been pushed back. This is from Variety:

Horn won't predict when the first of the two "Hobbit" films will be out, but says the most probable scenario would be a release in the fourth quarter of 2012.

"It's a big bet for us. But it's one we think will pay off given the success of 'Lord of the Rings,'" says Emmerich. "This is one of the few movies it feels like people are waiting for."

So I guess we will have to wait another year before we would be able to see it. Oh well, I bet it will be worth the wait.

Personnally I can wait for the Hobbit a little longer if they make it into an awesome movie but what am I worried about is that this delays Hellboy 3 even longer because of Del Toro's involvement with the Hobbit! Ron Perlman isnt getting any younger!

LEE: Lol! :) After realising I've done over 125 main page news articles I just eamiled CBM to see if there was any chance I could take a slightly bigger role in things around here and I was lucky enough to be given this "trusted user" status by good ol' Galactus!

I do get your frustration though...my Tom Hiddleston article got put on the main page about a week or so ago and ended up halfway down - thats the problem with a busy news day I guess! You shouldnt let this put you off posting news though bud...you're like MarvelFreshman! You find the articles no one else does, lol! (like your recent Torchwood one!) :)

@josh
lmao! That is a brilliant poster. But Im glad Jack Bauer wasnt in the Lord of the Rings because they would have gone from three, three-hour movies to a 24 hour long movie! lol

@teabag
lmao! And one of the other hobbits would be a mole planted by that giant eye guy (I cant remember his name) I love 24 & I dont want to agree with you on it being repetitive but that would be crazy talk lol You are damn right about it being way too repetitive, at least in the new season, terrorists are trying to assassinate the presenter of the Indian Who Wants to be A Millionaire for his rubbish dancing (well at least I think thats the plot lol)

Good fins Ozy, bad news though:( It looks like Jackson and Del Toro were full of sheeeeeeit.

what the hell is wrong with the moviemakers????
movies get delayed, scrapped, cancelled, bad actor-choosing........ can anybody enlighten me??
My interest is fading away thanks to all this negativism!
Is this all due too the crisis? or big egos or the wrong studios with the wrong movies??

anybody......????

Films? As in plural? I didn't realize they were making into 2 parts. Hmmm... I guess they will be able to cover a lot of development and detail, although that means waiting all the longer to see the whole book on screen.

@ Ror... I totally agree about Planet Hulk. Possibly the best Marvel animated feature to date.

Things like this make me wonder where people's heads are, we've got people screaming for a new spiderman movie, but not concerned at all about the Hobbit? I mean, I understand that this is a comicbook website and all, but is no one anticipating what will be in all likelihood the most highly anticipated prequel ever?

@ infamouslycool, yeah, you're right. The only reason I like anything in this world is because Ror liked it first. You found me out, man.

@ Ror... hey, I drink this stuff called "beer" from time to time, and I wanted to get your take on it before I make my opinion known. God knows I can't make a move without kissing your ass ;) lol

No prob Torch, you may drink the beer..its acceptable to me!:) haha, seriously Infamous, your a tool. I'v come across people that think that way about movies before. Its like, if the big hero is compromised or ever looks weak they think its a bad thing..they only want to see the big strong hero bash and smash all of his enemies! Where the hell is the drama in that could you tell me?
