Peter Jackson's LOTR prequel has had it's problems, putting it mildly! But now production company 3Foot7 announce a new shoot date of March 21, put back from it's original February 14th.

"Despite some delays we are fully back on track and very excited to get started," said Peter Jackson, who was released from the hospital last week after undergoing surgery Jan. 26 for a perforated ulcer.

The Hobbit will shoot on location in New Zealand and will star Martin Freeman as the titular Bilbo Baggins. Ian McKellen(Gandalf), Cate Blanchet(Galadriel), Elija Wood(Frodo), Orlando Bloom(Legolas) and Andy Serkis(Gollum) will all reprise their roles from the previosu trilogy.

I'm just hoping that they'll be able to work in a Christopher Lee cameo while he's still kicking! Can't wait for this to get made either way though!
