Britt Reid (Seth Rogen), son and heir to Los Angeles' largest newspaper fortune, is a rich, spoiled playboy who has been happy to maintain a direction-less existence. When his father James Reid (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, Britt meets an impressive and resourceful company employee, Kato (Jay Chou). They realize that they have the resources to do something worthwhile with their lives and finally step out of James Reid's shadow. Kato builds the ultimate weapon, The Black Beauty, an indestructible car with every weapon and gadget imaginable and Britt decides that in order to be heroes, they will pose as villains. With the help of Britt's new secretary, Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), they learn that the chief criminal in the city is named Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz). He has united all the gangs under his power, and he quickly sees that the Green Hornet is a direct threat to the prosperous criminal underworld he controls.

that's pretty sad that they felt compelled to use the word "surprising" on the back package...........like, they are Marketing someone thinking, "hey i thought this would be crap, but ya know, it actually was ok!"........lol, someone should so get chewed out for that being the best quote they could pull.

@ leee777

yeah,mate.

a terrible movie i downloaded it when it first came out.

seth rogen came across as a annoying prick.

seth rogen cracking a joke in every scene that wasn't even funny, green hornet would of been better if it was more serious.

the creation of the car was the best bit, even kato just lacked something that bruce lee had.

2/5 1 for the car & 1 for all the babes.

Great movie! I really was surprised i enjoyed this film so much. It was fun to watch and if you havent seen it i think youll like it too.

I think people putting the film down probably expected a serious movie despite the marketing showing us different. People just being stubborn.

Yeah I gotta agree, it could've been SETH's chance to show he could play more serious... hell he told everyone he f'ing was, but it still didn't happen lol!

Come on man, KATO owned... of course he can't beat BRUCE LEE or nothing, but KATO was deff the best thing in this by far!
