If you are not already familiar; Temuera Morrison (Jango Fett from Star Wars) will be playing the role of Abin Sur who gives his ring to Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) becoming the next Green Lantern. Speculation is that the powerful scene will be the one shown at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego. Latino Review recently caught up with actor and got to ask a few questions. His first response was “Yeah I’m done filming” which only helps strengthen that theory.
Temuera was gracious enough to show the reporter his Abin Sur character fully done from his cell phone. LR says it looks exactly like the concept art as shown here.
“That took about 4-5 hours to put on, it was all prosthetic.”
On working with Ryan Reynolds:
“We did the whole scene together were I give him the ring, our suits are CGI so we had these grey suits with things on them so it was cool...”
It also sounds like Abin Sur's back story will be part of the planned sequels as well:
“You know there are making sequels right?” Morrison said.
“They want me to come back in the sequel. They want to show you my backend story for the next movie. They want to show you how I become part of Green Lantern Corps.”
DogsOfWar-I find it very good news that they are going with prosthetics for the facial features and not full blown CGI like the costumes.
