GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Launch Trailer Hypes Up Star-Lord's Adventure With A Mötley Crüe Classic

The launch trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy has been released, and there's a lot of fun new footage here as the fan-favourite team of cosmic superheroes rock out to Mötley Crüe's "Kickstart My Heart."

The launch trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy has been released, and this game definitely looks like a fun ride. Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot will be relegated to supporting status as Star-Lord takes centre stage, but we know that certain decisions you make will change how the rest of the Guardians react to you during gameplay (making sure this adventure has the feel of a true ensemble).

Set to Mötley Crüe's headbanging "Kickstart My Heart," this new sneak peek offers a taste of the antics and escapades that await the interplanetary team in the game. Offering a fresh look at the myriad of colourful characters that the Guardians will encounter in their travels across the galaxy, we get to see some fan-favourites from the Marvel universe alongside completely original characters.

After Marvel's Avengers, many fans are sceptical about this latest title from Marvel Games, but the decision to focus primarily on Star-Lord as a playable character seems like a wise one. The gameplay does look like a lot of fun, and having the Guardians by your side should be an absolute blast.

"Fire up Star-Lord’s jet boots for a wild ride across the cosmos in this third-person action-adventure game, a fresh take on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy," reads the synopsis. "With the unpredictable Guardians at your side, blast your way from one explosive situation to another, with original and iconic Marvel characters caught in a struggle for the fate of the universe. You got this. Probably."

Guardians of the Galaxy arrives on PS5 and PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, PC, and streaming via GeForce NOW on October 26, 2021. It will also debut on Nintendo Switch in select territories.

I’m a bit bothered by the fact that the music is from after his abduction. It removes the narrative link between the music and the story and just makes it a generic marketing choice.

Good song though.

@Chewtoy - Maybe this version is on it's own timeline and he was abducted after this music was made.

Everything about this game from a design and movement standpoint looks good *except* Peter Quill, which may or may not be a problem based on how the game utilizes him from a character and narrative standpoint. Definitely looks like it could be a fun spin on the Mass Effect style of game that I've always loved

It looks fun. The characterizations are different from the movie which I dont mind so much. Look smore like the comics. I'm excited to beat this.

Looks like a high end mobile game. Maybe I am getting too old. Maybe game designers have gotten too predictable. Either way this looks like a rinse/repeat.

@PicolasCage - currently, the objective is to properly fomulate MY OPINION based soley on what you regard as right or wrong.

@VictorAlonzo - your opinion has no merit because it is based on a fundamentally, objectively wrong premise

@PicolasCage - well thank you. Based on your vinegar soaked, c list actor name, it is clear that I should've shunned my entire thought process and sought you for my guide. Thanks for the wonderful insight. Your words have made me like this game... Less.
