James Gunn Talks GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Deleted Scenes, Sequel Plans And More
In the following interview, Guardians of the Galaxy writer and director James Gunn confirms that there has indeed been talk of releasing an extended version of the movie on DVD and Blu-ray, and teases plans for the sequel and his thoughts on individual spin-off movies...
Guardians of the Galaxy is one of those movies which is so damn good, you just want to see more of it when the credits roll. Luckily, it sounds as if that will be the case when the DVD and Blu-ray finally lands as writer and director James Gunn confirmed in an interview with Collider that we should expect at least 15 minutes of additional footage. Will we get an extended cut as well? That's up for debate right now, but here's hoping. Interestingly, he also reveals that many of the scenes from the trailers which didn't make the final cut were written and shot specifically for promotional purposes! Finally, talk turns to the sequel - the interview took place before the reveal at Comic-Con that a follow-up will hit in 2017 - and Gunn's thoughts on the possibility of solo spin-off's featuring the Guardians or even some of the supporting characters from this movie...
