Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, has been reinvented as a bisexual character in the Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy comic series.
The big reveal came to light in Guardians of the Galaxy #9 by Al Ewing and Juann Cabal, which shows Quill entering into a poly relationship with two humanoid beings, a female named Aradia and a male named Mors, after spending over a decade trapped with them on a planet called Morinus.
Now the big question is: will the Marvel Cinematic Universe follow suit with Chris Pratt's take on Star-Lord?
Quill is romantically involved with Gamora (or at least, he was with the original version of the character Thanos killed in Avengers: Infinity War) in the movies, but Kevin Feige has stated on more than one occasion that we will see more diversity in the MCU moving forward, so there's always a chance James Gunn and co. will use this opportunity to introduce some queer representation by tweaking Peter's sexual orientation - unless Taika Waiti beats them to it with Thor: Love and Thunder, that is.
What do you guys make of this development? Do you think we'll see a bisexual, poly Star-Lord in The MCU? Drop us a comment in the usual place.
