So far, director James Gunn has released three storyboards for the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel. The first storyboard he released hinted at a Baby Groot scene, while the second seemingly had something to do with Peter Quill's father. The third featured a group of aliens(?) standing on a planet unknown. Yesterday, Gunn released yet another one of his Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 sketches that gives us a look at...something! Check out the mysterious image below!
What exactly is it? That could be anyone's guess! Gunn left the following message on his post, giving the fans his thoughts on the latest #WhatWeShotWednesday image. "Another Wednesday, another storyboard for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Looking forward to more absolutely insane guesses (no, that was not a giant banana last week). Also - this is not two images, but one I erased and replaced with another."
With that said, I know you might ask the following question: Why doesn't James Gunn just hire someone to draw these storyboards out for him? Well, that exact question made its way to Gunn (via Facebook), and he provided an answer. "We have tons of great storyboard artists who turn my sketches into somethings beautiful (and yet I often go back to the original for reference, because in my head I know exactly what I was going for, the composition, and the movement). Storyboards themselves are not art, but a blueprint for what the film will be." Do you have any insane guesses? Whatever you come up with, be sure to share it in the comment section below!
