Zoe Saldana Suggests 'The Collector' Will Return For GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Vol. 2

In a video praising Benicio Del Toro's performance in the movie Sicario, Guardians Of The Galaxy's Zoe Saldana (Gamora) seems to confirm that the actor will be back to reprise the role of Tanaleer Tiva, AKA The Collector, in Marvel's planned sequel. More past the jump...

Clearly blown away by Benicio Del Toro's turn in Sicario, his Guardains Of The Galaxy co-star Zoe Saldana posted the following video to Facebook. After praising his work in Spanish, the actress is heard to say "see you in Guardians" right at the end.

Obviously that's a strong indication that Del Toro will be back as The Collector, but it's always possible that Saldana is just assuming his return and doesn't actually know anything for certain. Despite 2 amusingly flamboyant  appearances, the character hasn't really served any purpose in the MCU beyond delivering some exposition, so it would be nice to see him take a larger role in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2.

James Gunn will once again helm the Marvel sequel, which is set to hit theaters May 5th, 2017.
