AVENGERS: ENDGAME Star Zoe Saldana Is Looking Forward To Exploring Gamora's Bad Side In GOTG VOL. 3

Gamora lives... it's just not the same Gamora we've come to know and love. While speaking at ACE Comic-Con, Zoe Saldana revealed that she's looking forward to exploring this new version of her character...

Although Gamora was not resurrected when The Hulk used the Infinity Stones to reverse "The Decimation" wrought by The Mad Titan in Avengers: Endgame, a version of the character from an earlier timeline is alive and well somewhere on Earth - even though it's a very different, far more ruthless Daughter of Thanos.

We still don't have official confirmation that Gamora will return for James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but actress Zoe Saldana seems fairly confident that she will reprise the role, and is looking forward to exploring a slightly darker take on "The Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy."

Here's what Saldana had to say when asked where she'd like to see Gamora go next during a panel at ACE Comic-Con in Seattle this past weekend.

"The technical answer is, it all depends on what Marvel and James Gunn desire to do with the Guardians and with Gamora's fate. There's a part of me that wants her to go back, find her way back to the Guardians, but there's also a part of me that wants to explore a bad Gamora. I've never seen that and she's, you know, she's considered the most lethal assassin, the most lethal woman in the galaxy, so I would want to see what that wrath looks like also because it would just give me layers to sort of work on. But yeah, I want her to get back to the Guardians."

Gunn previously stated that GOTG Vol. 3 would be heavily Gamora-focused, so there's a pretty good chance the plot will at least partially revolve around Star-Lord and his fellow A-holes tracking down their former teammate (well, from their perspectives) and attempting to convince her to join the Guardians.

What do you guys hope to see from Gamora in GOTG Vol. 3? Drop us a comment in the usual place.

As I told you in the other new shell come back and at the end they will find a way to put her soul in this Gamora.

@FranValle - But even if that happens this 2014 Gamora will never have 2018 memories of Peter and other members of GoTG.

The love and romance never happened. Fighting Ego never happened for 2014 Gamora.

See I was right it's not going to be the 2018 Gamora that DIED in Infinity War.

2014 Gamora will never have 2018 memories and romance of Peter. Gone forever.

"Asked if Gamora would have been dusted along with the others, Joe responded: "The argument could be that Tony wished away all the evil. Was she evil or just the enemy? Is she still alive? Who knows, that's a story for another time."

Thanks for this story now confirms what I been saying.

Iron-Man, Black Window and Gamora we all grew up knowing are dead and gone forever.

These alternate versions are 100 % different people. These alternates will NEVER have the same memories and experiences as the ones that died.

Great idea with this new Avengers technology lets go back to George Washington days when he was 45 years old and bring back to run in 2020 elections :)

All I can say is thank you Russo's for not killing Hulk, Spider-Man, Thor and the rest of the Avengers.

Give me the ORIGINALS any day of the week you can have your Alternates :)

The should make Gamora attracted to Thor. That should liven things up.

@defenderofthefaith - A Gamora 2014 means Guardian of The Galaxy movie 1 and 2 never happened. That Gamora died in 2018 and took all the memories with her.

GoTG members will be total strangers to Gamora 2014.
