Hancock 2 Director Confirms Return of Will Smith and Charlize Theron!

Director Peter Berg confirmed for MTV News that both Smith and Theron will certainly be returning for the superhero-themed sequel!

"Everybody's going to come back for a sequel," Berg said in response to a question about the two megastars.

Berg's comments confirm what Theron told MYV last September when she said she'd happily return if the rest of the key players returned too.

"Riding the Will Smith train is a really nice train to ride!" she laughed.

The big reveal at the end of 'Hancock' was that [Spoiler Alert!] both Smith and Theron's characters are immortal gods who become vulnerable when near each other. For the sequel, Berg said we can expect the appearance of at least one more all-powerful god. What's more, he's got his eye on a well-known name to play a third superhero.

"We have someone in mind," Berg said. "I'm not gonna tell you who, but we have!"

Yeah i know im ANTI that but HANCOCK has a rich history that leads up to HANCOCK!

Why friggin' make a lame sequel, the story is done!

I just Finished Watching Hancock for the First time the other day and I Really Enjoyed it.

Its one of those movies where as a Sequel could end up being Better.

I would love to see him go toe to toe with a Villian thats on his Level.

Hancock definitely wasn't a GREAT movie, but it was all right. At least it had comedy. Hopefully a better script could be made for a sequel

Hancock wasn't brilliant but it was an enjoyable movie. A sequel could go either way. If it's handled right it could be great but there's the big risk of it being a "tacked on for no apparent reason" movie.

everyone on this site would ride the will smith train, good movie or not everything he does is huge and brings in alot of money. and with Bman the first half was better then the second half, hopfully they realize that too and try to fix it for the second movie

God this movie really blew. It had a lot of potential too. If you get a chance, read the script for "Tonight He Comes". It was the script they butchered to make Hancock and it is leaps and bounds better than the pile of crap they gave us.

I hope this sequel never happens.

I liked the first movie but it was a massive disappointment to what i thought it would be like after seeing the trailer! The whole 'guy with powers being an asshole' was what made it original in the first half so a sequel with the character as he was in the second half might not be that great!?! Hopefully it will be good though because Will Smith is a brilliant actor so it would be a pity to see him wasted on a shitty sequel! :)

If they are going to do a sequel to a faux comic book movie I must demand a Ultraviolet 2. I saw that 6 times in the theater to see Milla Jovovich on the big screen. One day she will be mine. At least in my dreams, then there will be 200 of her and I will be the king...

@ Howlett LMAO. Yeah Bateman was the best part. I didn't really care for this one either. I agree with the rest of you guys, first half was good, second half shouldn't exist. The movie kind of lost me after they said Theron and Smith were gods and that they were set up in pairs.
Lets hope they don't make a second one.
