"Oh yeah, in a heartbeat," Bateman said. "Yeah, that's not a tough decision. I hope that happens."

Even though Batemen wants to reprise his role in the Hancock sequel, he doesn't think shooting will happen anytime soon:

"I'm sure he wasn't really passing on anything more substantive than just anytime Will Smith does anything it lends itself to a franchise," Bateman speculated. "And they were talking about a sequel while we were in the middle of shooting ['Hancock']. So I don't think he was saying that anything's happened that triggered real movement on that. I'm sure he probably just answered the question if somebody said, 'Hey what about a sequel for Hancock'? He probably said, 'Oh yeah sure. Wouldn't it be cool if we did this'? I don't think anything's really moved."

Writers have been hired to pen Hancock 2. So for Batemen, it might happen sooner then he thinks.

I liked the movie. The ending was a bit anti-climactic, but a drunken Superman, I loved it. I see room for a part 2. Why not? I want to know why everyone thinks it was so horrible.

Maybe if they get the Handcock Character to regress back into the drunken Superman persona, it might actually be cool!

Don't get me wrong, it was a great film but I liked him better as a drunk. He was flawed and thus interesting. :)

Bateman rules! I miss Arrested Developement! Loved that show! :D

Never seen Arrested Development. *hangs head in shame* Describe it to me in brief, tell me why I should check it out cause all I hear is that it was simply a great series.

@theMyth go to www.hulu.com and they stream every episode from every season for free.99 along w/ tons of other shows and movies, all free.99 as well

Im not into PREQUELS alot but HANCOCK would be better used as a prequel than a sequel!

HANCOCKS got a rich life that could end with him being a SUPER-BUM at the end of the movie! (That he was at the beginning of the FIRST movie! Oh well,,,

I don't reckon BATEMAN should be in this anyway, HANCOCK should move on if its a sequel.

hancock 2, handcockier.

i agree that they shouldnt bring any of the people back except smith. have it simply be a sequel with hancock in new york. fighting bad guys etc....totally move on with the character.

yea a god battle WOULD BE NICE AND THAT WOULD BE KOOL CUZ WILL SMITH AND THE OTHER GOD COULD DISTORY SOME OF THE CITY'S PARTS AND THEN THE PPL WILL START HATING ON WILL AND THEY DNT WANT HIM TO BE A HERO NO MORE LEADING UP TO THE THIRD MOVIE
