We recently found out that Deadpool actor Ed Skrein had vacated the role of Major Ben Daimio in The Hellboy reboot following accusations of whitewashing, but the casting for Neil Marshall's movie rolls on.

According to Deadline, the most recent addition is 26-year-old Aussie actress Penelope Mitchell (Hemlock Grove, Zipper, Curve), who will play Ganeida. A relatively minor player in the source material, this take on the character is described as "an elder witch who has decided that Nimue’s [The Blood Queen] wrath has gone on for too long and must be stopped."

Hellboy is set to commence shooting soon and is scheduled for a 2018 release.

Hope this movie turns out alright. I was bummed they didn't finish up the trilogy, but excited to see David Harbour take on the role.

I am so hyped for this. I've been reading some Hellboy lately and I love Mignola, his art work, and his writing. I also just finished Batman:The Doom that Came to Gotham. Really great. I loved the Ron Perlman movies, but I am ready to see a new take on it.
