FX has decided to pick up American Psycho as a series that will stand as a sequel to the film.

"While the original novel, and film, depicted the Patrick Bateman character in the stockmarket boom of the '80s and as a critique of the yuppie subculture, the sequel is said to follow Bateman in modern day America where he finds a protégé and sets up a sadistic social experiment to turn them into his equal."

Patrick Bateman is suppose to be in his mid-50's in this series which should clear up a few things that left you scratching your head about the ending.

the fact that the ending was ambiguous was practically the whole point of the movie. Making a "sequel" or follow-up series afterwards will ruin it

I'm cool with this but I would honestly prefer a new psycho! lol

In a weird way I felt connected to Bateman's character. All the stuff I wish I could do to the people who spat in my face! lol It was a great film, some head scratching moments and gut wrenching scenes but it was great!

They did make a sequel. It had Mila Kunis in it. I think Shatner too.

I agree with everyone, no Bale, no good. Plus if Patrick Bateman doesn't say the famous lines "I have to return some videotapes" atleast once in the show, it won't be good. But that's just my opinion.
