It seems David Gordon Green has wasted very little time getting right back work on the final chapter of his Halloween trilogy, as production is now underway on Halloween Ends.

Several set snaps have been shared online, and star Jamie Lee Curtis has also posted a behind-the-scenes photo of herself as she prepares to reprise the role of Laurie Strode for the original Halloween heroine's final showdown with the seemingly unstoppable Michael Myers.

Halloween Kills (you can check out our review here) concluded on a shocking note with the death of Laurie daughter Karen (Judy Greer) at the hands of "The Shape," and Strode vowed vengeance after realizing what happened. Green has already confirmed that there will be a four-year time-jump, however, so End clearly has a few surprises in store.

Kills was basically a showcase for Myers' relentless appetite for destruction, but Green revealed that Ends is going to take the story in a very different direction altogether during a recent interview with Empire.

“It’s kind of a coming-of-age film, and it’s a very different tone,” said the director. “That’s what excited me about it, is to have the three chapters that I’ve been involved in be very different from each other. They are all there to honor Carpenter, but aren’t necessary just emulating him.”

How do you guys see this new Halloween trilogy wrapping up? Be sure to let us know in the usual place.

Michael Myers might be too old and tired to kill anyone after 4 more years. Perhaps he will sub-contract the killings.

@NoWayClunge - oh yeah I get that. I admit my phrasing does make it look like that.

That said, I do take pictures by tapping on the screen.

I wonder if it will really be the last Halloween movie, or if they'll end it vaguely where you don't see Michael die or if there's no body to be found?

They redeemed the franchise just to turn it to shit again.

Reminds me of when we got Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix after Days of Future Past.

Gordon Green and co. really stink at horror. First half of the previous movie was interesting, but it nosedived from there on. He also doing a "direct sequel " to The Exorcist.

A couple years ago, people were giving Halloween 2018 undeserved praise. It took Halloween Kills to wake people up.

I’m not saying Halloween Kills is a masterpiece but it’s surprising to see how much hate it gets. It’s great for what it was and I can’t wait to see the final showdown!

@TheLobster - Right? The Gordon Green films are Godfather I and II compared to most of the terrible sequels. HK had its flaws but no one will ever convince me that HK is worse than Revenge, Curse or Resurrection. Not to mention the terrible Rob Zombie films.

@IronGland - bingo!

People just wanna complain but hindsight is 20/20. The new Halloween trilogy will be the strongest sequels to date because, if anything, it’s made by a director who’s not jumping the shark or relying TOO much on a formulaic approach.

this is the weirdest series for someone like me who has never watched a single one of them. As far as i know, the series is basically just a guy in a William Shatner mask and Jamie Lee Curtis trying to kill each other. Thats the premise, and theres like 12 of them and they keep making more and more!
