According to Deadline:

Now we can tell you the list of actors who'll be screentesting for the role of young Abe Lincoln this week and next: Benjamin Walker, James D'Arcy, Adrien Brody, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Josh Lucas. It's a very interesting mix of semi-knowns and unknowns, stage and screen vets.

If you were unaware, the story is basically a re-imagining of Lincoln's life where the president is an accomplished vampire killer - an obsession which he develops after the bloodsuckers murder his mother.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter arrives in theaters June 22nd, 2012!

Why are you people putting this down? It's by the guy who wrote Pride and Prejudiced, and Zombies. I heard that was highly entertaining and hilarious. This could be too. I love the outrageous premises. Sounds original and funny. Hey, at least its not a remake or a sequel, right?

the book is very good. and i can see this as a neat fun little movie. the way he treats vampires is pretty much the way he treated the south during the war of northern aggression.

Yes the book is awesome. They originally had Tom Hardy but he dropped out due to The Dark Knight Rises.
