LEEE777 - Well I'm personally looking forward to this, its got the feel of the first one, of course the first one is a classic and the second one was okay but didn't really deliver. By the way the comic book that came out was a good read, give it a go when you get the chance.

I thought oh wow this is gonna be lame, but I have to say im pretty pumped to watch this, even brought back that song from the first one that I loved so much. Anybody know when they filmed this? I'd like to know if Haim might have a cameo in it.

Actually, having watched documentary on documentary about Lost Boys, THIS is the sequel the Frogs have been waiting to shoot. Not the last one. The last one was a stupid attempt at bringing back the franchise to the newer crowd. This one SHOULD have been Lost Boys 2. I really hope we're not getting all the highlights in the trailer and that it will actually be a decent sequel... this time.

Oh LOL But he was still heavy on drugs so yeah... i highly doubt he'l be in it unless they decided to shoot his stoned ass on the beach one day.

Okay, couple of things. I don't see this as having the vibe or feel of the original at all, yes it does look slightly better than the last turd, but so would anything! Could be fun, but I don't think they will ever get that Lost Boys magic back without more of the original cast and crew..yes, even Shitmacker!

Ror- Honestly i agree that the WHOLE cast and effects team was the reason for the first film to be good. But Shitmaker wasn't part of the equasion IMO. He got lucky. The soundtrack also helped loads but Shitmaker's directing wasn't a highlight IMO.

Ror I agree 100% with you. Yeah this movie looks better than that craptastic sequel they released before but it still doesn't have the feel of the original. I might watch this one even though the last one was a FAIL. Lost Boys is my favorite VAMPIRE movie and I wish they would leave it alone.

I love that song, "CRY LITTLE SISTER" I have like 6 versions of the song. lol. Excuse me while I go play them on my iTunes.

So the story centers around people taking vampire blood as if it's a drug - hmmm... where have I heard that before? They couldn't be trying to cash in on 'True Blood', now could it? Still, it's been done a few other times anyway (like in 'The Vampire Effect') and can work. Besides, it's not about the story so much as about the Frogs, so I'll be there. Looks like it might even be fun.

i remember seeing the first one young as a kid and loved it and still love it now its a [frick]ing classic!
seen the second one and it was okay .... ill have to check this one out!

The first film made me want to BE a vampire. The second one almost killed the movie altogether. I have the original on DVD and bluRay, not to mention the sdtk. This new one, though looks immensely better than TH TRIBE, puts me in the mind of a BLADE wannabe. I will probably watch it, but not expecting much. And now with Haim gone, they could never do a good sequel (have to have Sammy and his family back, they were the key ingredient to the first).

I was a big fan of the first film, but I haven't seen the second. From what I've been hearing from all of the chatter here, it most have been pretty bad. With the intro to this new installment, we may have a real revival of the series.
@InstigatorGIRL- That song is THE SHIT! One of the many great point of the original film. To this day, anytime somebody talks about that movie, "CRY LITTLE SISTER" starts playing in my head.

It would have been awesome to see Michael and Star back. Its not like Jason Patrick is doing much these days anyway. Losers was one gig and we'll probably never see him again for another decade. He could have used this film for lunch money or somethin.
