The latest installment to the Nightmare on Elm street franchise will rip into theaters April 30, 2010. Although I am excited for this re take on such a iconic classic horror villain I have to say, NOTHING IS BETTER THEN THE ORIGINAL. Off course you have the few rare moments were a remake out does the original. But usually that involves the original to be made a loooong time ago, so you see everyone who originally saw it is long gone as well as there opinions.



With Hollywood sitting on their hands these days we don't have much to look forward to other then remakes! As a famous person somewhere sometime said "It is what it is." And there you go.

I DUNNO I JUST FEEL THE OLDSCHOOL ONE'S NOSE REALLY WAS AN ICONIC THING ABOUT FREDDY...

Love JEH in most everything he does but this does not look appealing to me at all. It just seems like a knock-off.

No interest in this one. There is only one Freddy and Nightmare on Elm Street. Remakes of classics piss me off.

Um... Lame. The more I see of this the more I don't wanna see it. The only thing cool about it that I like that they added was the whole if you don't sleep for more than 72 hours your brain will start dreaming even though you're awake or some shit like that. Thats a cool twist. But not cool enough to go watch this.

looks cool 2 me....everybody complains that it wont be as good as the original...but if i remember correctly...they made so many damn sequels...they ruined themselves...hense the reboot :)

@ johan02... I'm sorry, did I hear you say "Friday the 13th" and "good remake" in the same phrase?

also @ XmutantX, I agree with you entirely. Nightmares 1&2 where classics and genuinely scary, then the sequels just pretty much killed themselves with thier slapstick humor and turning freddy into a clown. This remake is a needed breathe of fresh air into the Nightmare franchise.

alotta ppl say without Robert Englund this movie will suck...he IS freddy...well yes he is...but look at it this way...he made 2 good nightmare on elm st movies...then went and made 4 more that totally sucked...a freddy tv show..that sucked...and then freddy vs jason..which sucked....the guy has had countless chances at making a good freddy again..but he became a sell out and made the character a joke...so if u want yet another sh!tty freddy movie..then by all means...dont go see this...but if u want a fresh new take on it wit a more serious tone...then this is the movie 4 u!

I don't know, this Freddy doesn't really have the same scare that the original did. He looks like the bad guy from Harry Potter. That and the Mummy.

I miss the old ones. I hate remakes, I was still holding out for Freddy vs Jason vs Ash.

he looks like a real burn vic i love the old freddy movies hell thats all ive been watching latley but the on thing that i had a proplem with in the old ones is that he did not look like a burn victim in this one he dose in firt grad my teacher would show us pics of burn victims during fire saftey week i had nightmares for weeks

Elm Street 3 - Dream Warriors was pretty good too. The return of the Nancy character and shizzle. But I agree, the rest were crap. I totally remember the old Elm Street TV show hosted by Robert Englund. They had one where they showed the Freddy before the burninating. He had an ice cream truck. Fkn sicko

I'll still check this out on video. Could be good for a jump... But nothing is scarier that this.

Idk, Dark Knight's Two-Face was a scarier looking burn victim.

Since they made him look like a 3rd degree burn victim instead of someone burned to death, I just feel sad for him more than afraid of him

never fails people are always trash talking remakes and adaptations. ur all spoiled. Freddy has been reimageined and he actually looks like a burn victim rather than a wrinkled nut sack with leprosy do a little resurch on burn victims they usually don't have noses afterwords. WTC!!! SPOILD!!!

if people prefer the original..thats cool...but 2 say this will be dumb jus because its a remake or reboot..is pretty dumb...considering how many movies on here people are saying need a re-boot hahaha
