Scream 2 review - A sequel that makes fun of sequels

A year after the enormous success of Scream, Wes Craven and company released Scream 2, a sequel that poked fun at horror movie sequels.

The first Scream is an iconic landmark. In a time where slashers were becoming less and less popular, Craven breathed new life into the subgenre and with the massive success of the first Scream movie, a sequel was invevitable. So where to take a sequel to Scream? There was only one logical conclusion: a sequel that pokes fun at sequels. Now this may sound like Scream 2 is taking a more comedic route, but not really. It still has the balance of horror and comedy that its predecessor had, except this time it ramps up the thrills just a bit more. It may not be as fresh as the original, but Scream 2 still packs a punch. Full review below:
