Remains based on the comic book, will be Chiller's second original horror movie as their first is Ghoul which is adapted from a novel.

From Chiller:

Based on the graphic novel by Steve Niles, and set in a chilling post-apocalyptic Reno, Nevada, Remains follows the two lone survivors of a bizarre accident that reduced most of the world's population to zombies. The pair take refuge in a vacant casino and fight a losing battle against the undead, who grow steadily stronger, smarter and more aggressive by the minute.

Steve Niles' Remains is written by John Doolan and directed by Colin Theys. Andrew Gernhard and Zach O'Brien are serving as producers.

Ghoul by the way follows a group of young friends who risk their lives to stop a rash of disappearances in their own town.

LEEE777 - If the Chiller network original programming continues its ratings growth, we will see more of these types of movies, fingers crossed.

@Leee

Would Ghoul be based on the Brian Keene novel of the same name?

I would have liked to have seen his novel "The Rising" adapted before that. That was a really good zombie novel. I usually am the first to admit that zombies are becoming overcrowded (excuse the pun)in the media, but damn I love em! And The Rising, if you haven't read it or its sequel City of the Dead, are some good reads.

Never read any of Niles work other than 30 Days of Night and Slothboy which was pleasantly twisted! As far as Brian Keene goes, I'm interested now since people are praising him.

Anyone got any suggestions on which book of his I should start with????
