Can THIS be the monster from JJ Abram's Super 8?


This pic originated from an IMDB user who stated : "So, my friend's brother's wife works for a company that does marketing for films, video games, music, etc. Occasionally she'll get chain mails from these companies, which aren't supposed to go to them. A few days ago she received a chain mail intended for the production staff within Paramount."


Super 8 is currently in production in Virginia, being directed by JJ Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg. It is expected to hit theaters on June 10th 2011

Dya think Super 8 could be a prequal to Cloverfield?
Maybe when the monster was still small it escaped & hid in the sea, then walked ashore in New York.

@01carterg I get what you're saying and the original idea for the film was for it to be a Clover prequel, but jj Abrams said it isn't.

Wasn't there a whole bunch of false art online of the Cloverfield monster before that film? And the real design never made it to the internet before the movie? This is cool, but I doubt its real. Abrams is good at keeping a lid on things.

Vital@ Immediately when i saw the picture i remembered the scene where Stitch is on the freezer and shows his four hands first time. Then Lilo´s sister notice him and take fright!xD... That was great scene!

no, it was confirmed a couple months ago on imbd that the image was created by an artist and then photoshoped a paramount logo on the bottom.

Fake or not, the monster is designed in JJ Abrams style. it fits right in with the Cloverfield monster and the one from Star Trek.

actually at the end of cloverfield..when the last scene is of the guy and girl on the ferris wheel...you see the monster crash into the ocean. Its quick, but you can see it.

@bobietsuzumaki i knew it was fake. by the way i hope that thing about super8 not being apart of cloverfield is not true either because that movie needs to have a sequel.they definitely need to explain what happened in this film.

This has already been said that it won't connect to Cloverfield, which is sad, because I've wanted a sequel for forever. The monster will probably not be gigantic considering that it fit into a train car in the teaser trailer.
