Zombieland: Double Tap is fast approaching and now that tickets are on sale, director Ruben Fleischer has revealed more about what fans should expect from the sequel ten years in the making.

The filmmaker explains that, since the first movie, Tallahassee and his fellow survivors feel a lot less threatened by the undead and they've begun naming them. "Homers" are particularly dumb zombies, while "Ninjas" are extremely sneaky. Plus, a new threat has emerged in the form of T-800s.

"These T-800s are much more dangerous, threatening form of zombie," said Fleischer. "For the first time, I think our heroes feel like they're in true jeopardy because of this newly evolved form of zombie" That definitely sounds like a cool twist, and something which should help really up the ante here.

We've only actually seen one trailer for Zombieland: Double Tap and it feels like it's somewhat flown under the radar. Stay tuned to CBM the week it's released, though, as we'll have both our spoiler-free review and a video interview with stars Woddy Harrelson (Venom) and Jesse Eisenberg (Justice League) in which they talk about what to expect from the follow-up.

In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on these details in the usual place!

I expect this to bomb, lets face it they waited way too long to do this. Plus even with returning cast and director there is a good chance it will fail to recapture what made the original great. think
Sin City A Dame To Kill For
Independence Day Resurgence
Godfather Part 3
Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
Dumb and Dumber To

@dracula - Godfather II is my favorite sequel of all time but I still haven't seen Godfather 3 because of all the bad shit I heard about it. Also Michael's story kind of felt closed by the end of Part II

@MadKingCipher - Thats my point, they all pretty much had everything the original had, same actors and same directors and they were all major let downs, and what do they have in common, they waited a long ass time to make them. They range from Okay to Crap.

@tmp3 - Godfather 3 isn't terrible, but its nowhere as good as the original, and Sophia Copola's acting really sucks, was probably a last minute decision, considering all the people considered. To bad they didn't get to do Godfather 4, the story they planned sounds like it could have ended the series on a good note

@MadKingCipher - I guess Dumb and Dumber felt the same, but Dame to Kill for was just horrible, switching back and forth between stories, instead of doing one at a time. plus the original stories, Frank Miller is not the writer he use to be and they should have just taken more stories from the book. Plus the messed up continuity between it and the first film

The highlight of Zombie Land was the fact that the zombies were'nt much of a threat unless you were an idiot (Bill Murray especially). This led to the group getting careless, messing around, etc...

The only times it felt dangerous were near the end, when Tallahassee had a 'last stand' and it felt like he would be overwhelmed and killed.

Our main character was the only one taking the threat somewhat seriously a majority of the time, this helped to emphasise the importance of the rules and allowed for several comedic examples of people not following the rules. It also carried more weight when a rule was broken such as 'dont be a hero' turning into 'be a hero' during the finale.

E.g. Tallahassee forgetting to stretch before taking out his anger on a vehicle only to injure himself as the rule 'Cardio' falls onto the floor in the background.
