In a complete about-face from the artsy direction Ang Lee took with the first Hulk movie, the second (a requel, if you will) will be directed by action director Louis Leterrier (Transporter 1,2 and Unleashed), according to Hollywood Reporter.

Avid Arad, Kevin Feige and Gale Anne Hurd will produce the film which promises to return the Hulk to his comic book roots.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Arad and Feige first met with Leterrier two years ago and were struck by his passion for the Marvel Comics universe. It was that passion that shone through recently when -- after approached to gauge his interest in directing a new Hulk movie -- Paris-based Leterrier went back to his studio and, with the help of an artist, storyboarded two action sequences and developed a take on the monster.

X-Men movie veteran Zak Penn will write the script.

Casting will begin shortly.
