"Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" director Patrick Tatopoulos will be directing the comic book horror screenplay and it will be written by Kevin Grevioux. The production as reported, is scheduled to start in July this very year.

I, Frankenstein is a fantasy/horror thriller in which the original monster of Victor Frankenstein is as sorts the hero of the piece who stands between the human race and the evil uprising of supernatural creatures whose sole purpose is to take over the world.

The Darkstorm comic book brings all the classic monster characters together, which of course includes Frankenstein, as well as Dracula, the Invisible Man etc. Franky has evolved somewhat though. he's learned how to control his anger, much like the Hulk has done in the past in his own comic. Frankenstein turns private investigator, while with a twist, Dracula plays kingpin, and Invisible Man plays secret agent.

Patrick Tatopoulos said: "It is a privilege to be given the chance to direct this highly visual piece." Grevioux has created something truly special with I, Frankenstein and I couldn’t dream of a better team than my friends at Lakeshore to make this project happen."

Tatopoulos, is a longtime creature designer for films like "I Am Legend" and "Godzilla."
