Another Iron Man 2 Twitter Report

Twitter report from Iron Man 2 Visual Fx Coordinator, Darrell Hunt!

On CBM, I've posted a couple of twitter articles these past weeks from Iron Man 2's Visual Effects Coordinator, and I never really gave out his name: it's Darrell Hunt. The reason I post every single report is because he has only 12 followers and he posts almost once a week. Anyway here is his latest:

"Working through some resequenced shots. Looking forward to doing some real work on Thor in February."

So it seems my past article reporting 3D sequences for Iron Man 2, could have been for Thor, as well. Who knows?

I dont want any of these movies to be in 3-D - its too gimicky! I'd rather they concentrate on making these films good rather than working out a way to make it look like Thor's hammer is flying out of the screen, lol!

I remember Jaws 3d and the Nightmare on Elm st. movie. It was lame. I will remain unimpressed until we have to put on a full tactile body suit to watch a movie.

3d was the next big thing 15 years ago, i don't have a whole lot of faith in it now.

since the 1950's studios have been trying in vain to find a way to make 3-d something more than an unserious sideshow element...and it never works. not really. certainly not on a project that is serious and dark-ish as this new generation of comic book films has been.

i agree with all of you who say that the concentration should simply be on making a good film, a quality product...that is, i think, the better bet, so to speak, in terms of box office sales.

in addition, i have always found it rather lame how in 3-d films there is such an excessive number of shots that warp the logic, pacing, tone and action of the film to dubiously generate opportunities to have something come flying at the audience. i have always seen this critically as a distracting way of accidentally, meaninglessly breaking the fourth wall and laming up the film.

3D is normally better in animated stuff....

The Michael Jackson Star Wars movie had 3D also. Forgot about that one, think I was trying to suppress it...

Ah some REAL work on Thor,.. lol February can't possibly get here fast enough! :D

you know peeps I must say next year is going to be a HELL of a great year for CBM news.

These relatively dry times will seem a million miles away when no less than FOUR of the most important comic book movies of all time will be being made at the same time! And SM4 also lol

Heck there will be more cool news than you can shake a stick at!!!!
