On How The Iron Man Suit Might Change Between Iron Man 2 And The Avengers:

" I think we need to take one film at a time. The concepts and the story and the things that go on in the minds of the Marvel brass, which are a very clever group of people, they really take their time in developing each story point out."

"So in The Avengers, in my opinion, it could be any one of Tony's suits you could put on. It's basically just trying to get him to be a part of The Avengers that is interesting. Tony Stark is the kind of guy that invents and has secret inventions all of the time. So I think the charm of his character is that he has stuff they don't even know about."

On Whether We'll See The Hulkbuster Armor In The Avengers:

"I have not heard anything about that. That's even a news flash for me. I haven't heard anything like that [laughs]. The fans are well heard by the Marvel camp and they do what they can to appease that. They know that's a vast audience that they're working for."

On How The Suit Might Progress In Iron Man 3:

"I really do not know. Even if I did there's a raygun pointed at my head and it will actually blow me to atoms if I were to say anything. What are the options? You've got things that might go to space. I think a space suit might be kind of interesting. I actually would go through an archive of the story points of the comic and kind of see what I want. The great thing about Marvel is that for the fans, all of the answers are in the comic books. For people who read the comics, they'll pretty much get all of the goodies in there."

On The Differences Between Working On Iron Man 2 And Thor:

"Well, Thor, the characters that we did, I can't really say what they are at this point. But they were more organically based beings so therefore they're using more prosthetic makeup and things like that. It's very different than Iron Man. Iron Man is all hard shell, external machine like things, and the work on Thor is a lot more mysterious and living, living beings."

It would be beyond epic to see Tony Stark come up with the Hulkbuster armour during The Avengers IMO! Seeing him take on the Hulk in that suit and still getting his ass kicked (as in "World War Hulk" to name a recent example) would not only make for some truly amazing scenes, but it would also show just how powerful a threat the team would be up against! :) Regardless, it'll be interesting to see how they continue to develop the suit over the coming years!

I don't think that their kidding about the ray gun. I've heard that in a different interview with someone working on these movies. Marvel is taking this stuff serious.

I guess it would make sense, but is Hulk really going to be a wild card in this? I imagine if hes going to be there, he will know right from wrong like at the end of Nortons Hulk. Not quite Banner in crontol Hulk, but still a bit more of a tame one none the less. If they go the classic way though, i sure wouldnt mind Loki or someone messing with him causing a small rampage. If he isnt the main antagonist then there shouldnt be a Hulkbuster yet.

Nice find @Josh!
I really hope to see the Hulkbuster on The Avengers! Could you imaginate how sweet that would be?
Hulk out of control in Manhattan fighting against the heroes except Iron Man, then Tony lands there with the Hulkbuster!
That would be awesome for sure!

Hulkbuster = waste of CGI money & screen time for the other Avenger members. Avengers is not about Iron Man.

Hell yeah, Hulkbuster! Something big and hard for Hulk to punch and kick real hard so he can take the kids glove off! LMFAO!

I think it works perfectly in The Avengers if the Hulk is a villain. Him being controlled by Loki has been done, and so the studio might shy away from that to try to surprise us "fan boys," but I still think it makes for a perfect reason for the top four to be featured in a single film.

We'll just have to wait and see, I suppose. I can't wait!

1. "I think we need to take one film at a time."

2. "I have not heard anything about that."

3. "I really do not know."

4. "I can't really say what they are at this point."

Nuff said.

@ MarsAmbassador - I have to agree. That would make for a truly epic script, and I'm sure Joss would have fun with it all the way through.

JoshW@ Agree!

Red Skull and Hydra should be the villains in The Avengers! In Captain America: The First Avenger, Skull gets trapped in the cosmic cube and Cap thinks he is dead, but in present day Hydra release him and now he has the cosmic powers. Then he brainwash The Hulk against The Avengers and in the end of the film, fights alone against The Avengers!

Loki wouldnt be bad villain either!

@MarsAmbassador - I like your rundown with the Hulk's rage breaking the mind control like in the Hulk vs Thor animated. Its better than the standard Hulk kryptonite: Betty.

Hulkbuster suit better be in the movie, I want to see that epic battle between Iron Man and Hulk in the first half of the Avengers

~My opinion, most of Iron Mans suits are over with so that makes Mark 4 with War Machine looming around, Stark learns of Hulks rampages and makes Hulkbuster to settle the Hulk threat once and for all.~
