When I first met with Jon [Favreau, director], he really encouraged the duality and the mystery and the intrigue behind this character. You know, we spent weeks and weeks rehearsing and discussing our characters' motivation and development and ambition. And, you know, and you think, 'Are we really doing this on something called Iron Man 2?' How is it possible that it feels like we're making this small, intimate production out of something that has this huge expectation and following behind it?"
