Whiplash Armor Revealed In New Comic?

In the new Marvel comic," Iron Man VS Whiplash," Stark goes head to head with the villain played by Mickey Rourke in "Iron Man 2." Could the costume worn by Whiplash in the comic be mirrored in the movie?

This is MARVEL's new four part comic called "IRON MAN VS WHIPLASH"

From marvel.com
As Tony Stark heads back to the big screen for "Iron Man 2," he brings with him a host of new problems and big enemies. One particularly painful thorn in his side will be the armor-clad, energy whip-wielding villain known as Whiplash. To get you up to speed on all things Whiplash, Marvel's kicking off a four-issue "IRON MAN VS. WHIPLASH" limited series beginning in November.

"Before he flays the metal off Tony Stark's hide in 'Iron Man 2,' this is every True Believer's chance to crawl inside the twisted head of the wicked Whiplash," boasts Editor Bill Rosemann. "If it's jet-setting, globe-trotting, eye-popping action you crave, IRON MAN VS. WHIPLASH will make you believe that Tony Stark is indeed a cool exec with a heart of steel...and Whiplash is the fiend that will break it!”

Here is a character design by Marko Djurdjevic

I'm wondering if this is the Whiplash we will see on the big screen...because if
this is the armor, it looks bad ass!!

I think Whiplash will be kick ass whatever but I would like to see him in more armour than we've already seen him in. Something like this would work really well

Marko Djurdjevic is a brilliant artist - especially his painted stuff - Google 'Daredevil 500 Cover' - stunning stuff!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope it looks half as good as that. I really hope it gets a new upgraded outfit like this, and doesn't become Crymson Dynamo because that would be stupid.
Looks like his advanced armor is on top of the prototype that hes wearing in the second pic.
ITS COOL, FACE LOOKS A TAD BIT LIKE VEGA FROM STREETFIGHTER..I WOULD OPT TO JUST DO A FULL BODY PROTHSTESIS, EXPOSED SKIN SHOWS A WEAK SPOT.
CaptainAmerica
CaptainAmerica - 8/14/2009, 5:42 PM
i think the problem with a full body suit is that he would look too similar to Iron Man and War Machine
MarkV
Looks kinda vulnerable...
With all that skin showing how could he protect himself from IM?
MarkV
Hmmmm...maybe this concept shows the armor in various states of being applied.
They have already said that its a mix between the two. Favs knows what hes doing.
i agree, it does still look vulnerable, but better than nothing. Gotta say, Rourke looked great even without it.
DDD
There needs to be another shoulder pad and leg-armor to make this suit feel more protective. But he could always have a force field that runs from armored section to armored section protecting the exposed parts. Anyway it LOOKS cool!
I don't see anything wrong with combining characters for an Iron Man movie. They're not gonna make a hundred movies where they can singly introduce every character Iron Man ever faced.
You're correct CaptainAmerica@, Favreau knows what he's doing. I trust him with Iron Man.
I must say Mickey does look like he blocked a few repulsor rays with his face! lol He almost looks tough enough to take a few blasts with just his skin!
whoa!!! great find, man! if u compare the two pics of whiplash from comic to movie, it looks very possible!!!!
StephenStrange
StephenStrange - 8/14/2009, 8:08 PM
niiiice. Oh yeah that will work just fine. Just enough so that he could walk away from a repulsor blast, but still nothing like IM's fully articulated exoskeleton.
I fail to see the Crimson Dynamo elements in it, but that's probably either not really in it or just not shown yet.
