I myself am tired of all those rumors that keep persisting about the Jonah Hex movie. I am going to address these issues at hand.
First let's deal with the zombies rumor, this has a background believe it or not, from a terrible script from 1997.
This horrible script had Jonah as a Union spy who wakes up in a southern plantation home with no memory of who he is, and discovers he's disfigured.
He later becomes a bounty hunter who is recruited to help stop a Voodoo practitioner who plans on using an army of the undead to free the South from Union rule. This premise was used for Will Smith's "Wild,Wild,Wild West." Well we know how well that turned out.
Good news is no zombies in the film.
Secondly, some nut from Total Films claims that he has seen the teaser for "Jonah Hex" and claims vampires burst forth from the ground. He does mention the raven crawling out of his mouth though he called it a crow.
The raven is right, but the rest is total bull. It doesn't match with what was actually shown and described at Comic Con.
Dismiss this altogether.
Last but not least the issue of re-shoots for the film. While others have stated this is because they screwed up scenes. This is far from the actual truth. Jimmy Palmiotti who writes the current series of "Jonah Hex" has stated
in the Philadelphia Daily News.
"I know for a fact that the shoots on 'Hex' are additional story being added . . . not re-shoots," said Jimmy Palmiotti, writer of the "Jonah Hex" comic and who has been intimately involved with the production. "This is a great sign because the studio saw the rough cut and loved it, so much so they pushed up the date and decided to put more money into the film.
This is great news and should put all those doubters to rest.
