How the DCEU Should Be (Part 1)

This editorial depicts the DC Universe we deserve and the one we need right now. This is my version of the DCEU that could've worked. It perfectly sets up a Justice League film in 2017 without rushing to compete with Marvel

2013 Film Slate
Man of Steel

Many people have huge problems with this movie, but I think its great. Definetly a solid 8 out of 10. The only things I'd change would be to make Superman a more upbeat/positive person instad of gloomy and a different actress for Lois Lane. The story is fine.

The Legend of The Batman or The Batman

This film would summarize Bruce's origin in an opening credits montage. This film would start with Batman on the verge of finally ending organized crime in Gotham City ( so maybe a year or two of him being Batman at this point.). However the Crime Families want Batman dead since they've all lost a lot of money, resources, manpower, etc. due to The Batman. Falcone and Maroni form a temporary alliance and hire Deathstroke, Deadshot,  Bronze Tiger and Lady Shiva to get the job done (similar to Batman Arkham Origns but with better execution). It ends with Batman defeating all the assassins and putting the Crime Families  behind bars. Each assassin would get a time to shine, and show why they are the best in the bussiness. However, the events of a costumed vigilante and assassins enspire others, and the last scene is a man applying clown makeup in front of a broken mirror while newspaper clippings about The Batman are scattered across the floor. This Batman wouldn't kill but he'd be pretty brutal, and would probably do things that'd would hospitalize thugs and beat them beyond the point of full recovery. Such as: crippling them.

I agree with your issues with Man of Steel. I also felt like they used Jor-El way too much as a plot device and that the character of Jonathan Kent was a little off. Kevin Costner was great but something just wasn't right about the way his character was written.

Loved the story idea and possible titles for Batman. Some people say The Batman is just too plain of a title but I think it's badass.
