Plans For INJUSTICE LEAGUE/LEGION OF DOOM Have Reportedly Been Scrapped By Warner Bros.

Justice League's after-credits scene set the stage for Lex Luthor to assemble the Injustice League but it sounds like the DC Extended Universe is no longer heading in that direction. Read on for details...

According to Revenge of the Fans, DC Films boss Walter Hamada has decided to put plans for the Injustice League/Legion of Doom on the backburner. While it was never clear whether or not the villainous team would get their own movie or reappear elsewhere, Joss Whedon actually added the "Shouldn't we have a League of our own?" line during reshoots, something proved by a VFX reel.

However, that was shot in September and Hamada came on board in January so it's no wonder things changed as he's decided that it makes no sense to build to the team forming when there are no plans for another Justice League movie or another huge event movie. There's simply no point setting the stage for the group to appear when Warner Bros. is focusing on standalone projects for the time being.

This is disappointing for a lot of reasons, especially as many fans have theorised that we might see Task Force X battling the Legion of Doom in Suicide Squad 2. How do you guys feel about this news? Are you disappointed that the scene is probably leading nowhere? As always, share your thoughts down below.

@MrDandy - it's actually a good thing they're abandoning a plan instead of forging forward with their two dozen movie ideas. Someone go tell Sony to pay attention

@Ryguy88 - If you put a dude at the end of the movie saying basically "we're building a team to fight the justice league" and then never build a team to fight the justice league then you are either a really bad storyteller or just ditched the plan.

@MrDandy - Exactly! They put a scene in a movie talking about it. They must have had a plan.

@CorndogBurglar - not necessarily. whedon added thanos at the end of avengers bc he felt like it and that wasnt the plan originally. then it became the thing the universe built up to.

Sucks. I really liked that post credit scene and Eisenberg felt more like Luthor there.

As long as they do it right and with patience then fine.

But if the DC TV shows want to use Legion of Doom again then don't be dicks and let them have them. Be fair.

i was never a good idea to give them their own movie , i'd rather have them slowly forming in every post credit scene and then fight the league in JL2
