Before i start my review i will say that this review will not spoil the move to anybody. Also if you do not believe that i saw i posted a picture of my ticket on the teaser image. Ok so here i go last week saturday i had the opportunity to see an early screening for Kick ass 2 i took my cousin to watch, since she was a big fan of the first one.
The movie is set year after the events of the last movie and we get to see what Dave, Mindy, and Chris are up too. Dave is not kick ass anymore, but is bored of the "normal" life so he attempts to get back in action and contacts Mindy who still hasn't stopped being hit girl. Then we get a too see Chris(red mist aka the mother F***) he is still upset of what happen to his father at the end of the first one and plans a revenge on kick ass.
As he plans this revenge dave is back as kick ass and has joined a group of vigilante that do the job the cops are to slow at doing. When the word gets out kick ass joined chris now known as the mother f*** decides he should create his own group to be the very first villains. As the first villain as seen from some trailers and maybe clips they start causing trouble in New York City. Some of these troubles impact the life's of Dave, Mindy and also the superhero group in a way, but more Dave's life than anything else. With these dramatic impact in Dave's life it makes him question should he really be Kick Ass or just be a normal kid. Mindy also deals with the same question. As every other movie these question get answer at the end.
If your wondering of the violence this movie brings up the violence than it was in the first one. If your also wondering if there's action all I'm going to say is you will not be disappointed with the action, and comedy or story from this movie. It also lives up to the first one i might even take a stretch and say its better than the first. Also got to say the finale scene is the best action I've seen this whole year and is also its the best comic book movie i seen all year. I recommend everyone to watch it and i barley recommend movies to anyone.
The score is done good just like the first one. The pacing was done very well that you were able care for these character which was also due to the great performances done by the actors. Now out of all the actors everyone should look out for Jim Carrey in my opinion this is one of his best performances even though his scenes are short. Another thing is each performance and comedy don't seem forced. And the story(plot) flows very good and it sucks you into the movie. If i were to rate it i would give it a 8.5 out of 10.
