KINGSMAN 3 Casting Details Shed Some Light On Matthew Vaughn's Prequel And Spinoff Plans

Earlier this year, we learned that Matthew Vaughn has plans to expand the Kingsman world in a big way with not only a third instalment that wraps up Harry and Eggy's story but also a TV series and a prequel called The Great Game which could very well shoot back to back with Kingsman 3. Now, some new details on the filmmaker's plans have been revealed and they may well explain how that'll work.

According to That Hashtag Show, Vaughn and his writing partner Jane Goldman are looking to introduce characters in Kingsman 3 who would then be used in prequel The Great Game. One of those is a teenager named Conrad who is described as a "young, cocky and charming son of a British Duke" and "eager to find a way to serve his country during World War I," something Kingsman offers.

It's also said that the studio is looking to cast an older male lead and that Ralph Fiennes is near the top of the studio's list. Bear in mind that The Golden Circle used flashbacks to expand the mythology and Kingsman 3 could do the same before then taking the characters and putting the spotlight on them in a prequel movie. We'll have to wait and see how things pan out but these plans sound pretty exciting!

Can’t say that I fully enjoyed the 1st apart from the church fight scene. Didn’t watch the 2nd so I won’t comment on that other than it didn’t sound like it lived up to the 1st. Kind of flummoxed that they want to make a 3rd plus a tv series🤷🏽‍♂️

I enjoyed the second one more than I though I would, given the complaints I heard when it came out (I caught it on HBO), but I’m real tired of them destroying the organization at the drop of a hat. I suppose that it’s supposed to increase the feeling that the stakes are high and anyone could die by the way they kill off major characters, but it honestly annoys me with the waste of building up interesting characters and lore and then wiping it all away so the main heroes can be on their own.

Please return to The Secret Service form and all is forgiven. I thought Harry was a goner for sure so do the same thing to bring back Roxy.

What was Vaughn thinking with that?

Kingsman 2 should've been Eggsy and Roxy as the only remaining agents against everyone else and them finding Harry and the Statesmen with Merlins help. That part practically writes itself.

The rest... I dunno about all that Poppy stuff.

2 was good but not great....killing the other agents was a horrible decision!

I thought Kingsmen 2 under-performed at the BO...or at least didn't earn enough to warrant another sequel.

Kingsmen 2 was trash, and they didn't use flashbacks to expand anything.

Now we know why Vaughn doesn't like doing sequels, and now he's doubling down.

Roxy was trash. Glad they got rid of the dead weight early on in the film.
