Earlier this year, we learned that Matthew Vaughn has plans to expand the Kingsman world in a big way with not only a third instalment that wraps up Harry and Eggy's story but also a TV series and a prequel called The Great Game which could very well shoot back to back with Kingsman 3. Now, some new details on the filmmaker's plans have been revealed and they may well explain how that'll work.
According to That Hashtag Show, Vaughn and his writing partner Jane Goldman are looking to introduce characters in Kingsman 3 who would then be used in prequel The Great Game. One of those is a teenager named Conrad who is described as a "young, cocky and charming son of a British Duke" and "eager to find a way to serve his country during World War I," something Kingsman offers.
It's also said that the studio is looking to cast an older male lead and that Ralph Fiennes is near the top of the studio's list. Bear in mind that The Golden Circle used flashbacks to expand the mythology and Kingsman 3 could do the same before then taking the characters and putting the spotlight on them in a prequel movie. We'll have to wait and see how things pan out but these plans sound pretty exciting!
