Before Kingsman 3 concludes the mentor-mentee arc of Harry and Eggsy, director Matthew Vaughn will be delivering Kingsman: The Great Game. The prequel, which takes place during the First World War, will expand on the lore established in the first two Kingsman films.
According to Full Circle Cinema, Aaron Taylor-Johnson who was cast in February in an undisclosed role, is actually playing a relative of the series' main character. Though it is currently unknown how they are realted, Taylor-Johnson playing Eggsy's grandfather seems like a safe bet considering the time period.
It is very likely that the film will expand on the Kingsman's focus on lineage, due to the fact that Eggsy's father was a Kingsman as well.
Kingsman: The Great Game comes to cinemas February 14, 2020
