Natalia Tena is rumored to have joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and may have already filmed her scenes for an upcoming movie or TV series.
The report comes via reliable insider Daniel Richtman, but he doesn't share any other details. Marvel Studios has numerous big and small screen projects on the horizon, but if Tena has already shot her scenes, Deadpool and Wolverine, Captain America: Brave New World or one of the upcoming Disney+ shows (Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, Ironheart) are the most likely possibilities (still doesn't really narrow things down that much)!
Tena played Nymphadora Tonks in the Harry Potter movies and Osha the Wildling in HBO's Game of Thrones. She also appeared as Twi'Lek mercenary Xi'an in an early episode of The Mandalorian, making her the only actor to appear in all three franchises - and it looks like she can now add the MCU to the list.
Osha was a major supporting character in the early seasons of Game of Thrones, serving as a protector of the younger Stark boys. She disappeared for quite a while, before returning to be unceremoniously killed off by Ramsay Bolton in season 6. Tena's Harry Potter role was similarly memorable; Tonks was a half-blood witch, and a member of the Order of the Phoenix who was related to Sirius Black, Bellatrix Lestrange, and married to Professor Lupin. Nymphadora also met her maker in The Deathly Hallows: Part Two.
Tena was asked what kind of roles she's on the lookout for during an interview with Country and Town House last year.
"I love all action stuff – I’d love to more of the jumping out of a helicopter, attacking a flying shark kind of thing. But I’d also loved to play a queen – specifically a Spanish queen, Juana la Loca. Maybe I’m too old to play her now, but she’s a great one. She was imprisoned by her dad, but wasn’t actually crazy… I can imagine that being quite a cool film. I also love Hugh Howey’s books – anything of his would be great. And just general comic books. I love comics. I collect them and I’m 38! I’m a child. I love Transmetropolitan – if they ever made that into something, I’d love to play one of the filthy assistants, which will make sense if you read it!"
Well, we know this role not Transmetropolitan (a DC Vertigo series), but hopefully we'll have some more details to share on Tena's (possible) MCU debut soon.
