Possible Details On How Marvel Studios Is Dealing With The Coronavirus Pandemic Revealed

With Hollywood currently at a standstill thanks to the Coronavirus, there's been a lot of speculation about what that means for Marvel Studios. Well, a new report claims to shed some light on exactly that!

Production on just about everything has been shut down as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and there's been a lot of speculation about what that will mean for an entity like Marvel Studios.

After all, the nature of the Marvel Cinematic Universe means their stories need to be released in a very particular order, and Black Widow's delay and the likes of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings halting production is obviously troubling.

Well, according to a new report, projects like Young Avengers are still being worked on, while there are said to be "constant" video conferences taking place regarding a number of matters, including plans for Black Widow's eventual release. It also sounds like Disney is keen to keep Marvel Studios up and running as they're relying on content from them, Lucasfilm, and Pixar.

These details are all vague, but it's good to know that Marvel Studios hasn't completely shut down.

Unfortunately, with work unfinished on many of the projects mentioned above, it's going to be very difficult for Marvel Studios to release anything for the foreseeable future. Sure, fans are hoping that Black Widow will debut on Disney+, but the chances of that happening are slim.

We'll keep you updated, but for now, you should probably keep your fingers crossed for positive news!

I just saw the theater response to Universal just putting Trolls 2 on streaming, and it makes me truly believe that Widow ain't coming on Disney+. Theaters need the studios to stand by them, they're gonna end up [frick]ing over Universal in the future for going behind their back

Writers can keep writing. Artists can keep arting. Even if that's all that can happen for the time being, it's still not nothing.

@Spock0Clock - and most importantly... Feige gets a break from the deluge of daily production management issues and mastermind phases 6-9 in peace!

@PicolasCage - Yep. More time to get it done and less drama about deadlines is often helpful to a better end product.

Wow, they're having video conferences? Revolutionary! Ya know I had three video conferences today at my job, but now I'm convinced they just copied the idea from Marvel. Stellar reporting Josh, as always.

I recall back in last November when this stuff was starting to run rampant in Chicomland, I called it. I said it would affect Black Widow box office numbers. Well, with Black Widow (for now) taken off circulation in theaters, I think a $0 box office return would seem rather prophetic.

I keep seeing articles like this talking up how important the release order is to Marvel. If all production is shut down, how are things going to get out of order?

This article is literally nothing. May as well have been a blank page.
